First of all Im wondering how gravel would have gotten in your urinary tract? Second of all, you CAN have bloody discharge if the stone is large enough or jagged, or logged. Either way (whether your having pain OR bloody discharge) go see a doctor!!!

You can, yes. Stones are an accumulation of minerals in the kidneys. The resulting stone is not smooth-surfaced so, yes, it can tear tissue on its way out.

Absolutely. My dog had bladder stones, and that is how we found out she had a problem. She was peeing blood, and then we noticed some stones. The vet showed us the x-ray and she had hundreds of them. From little grains of sand right up to big pieces. I realize I’m talking about a dog lol, but I’m sure the theory is the same.
