Kidney Stone Pain Questions
ok so i have a kidney stone (small) and i’m in some pain, i had to go to the ER and they told me to drink plenty of fluids till i pass (piss) the stone out myself, and they prescribed me a pain medication. i heard its hurts like hell to pass a kidney stone. is this my only option? to drink water till the stone comes out. how pailful will that be? and how long does it usually take to pass a stone? is it possible to pass a stone with little to no pain?

Cranberries are highly acidic, which has been shown to assist in the elimination process.
Cutting back on your salt intake is also necessary to avoid a build-up of calcium, which can grow into kidney stones.
Another producer of uric acid is red meat,
A recent study reported in the journal Epidemiology
(Vol 18, pp 501–506, July 2007), found that drinking two or more cola beverages per day doubled the risk
of chronic kidney disease. Cola beverages have been associated with kidney changes that promote kidney
stones, which may be a result of the phosphoric acid in colas.
I would never recommend treatment but if you go to
http://www.webmd.com and check it out there is an interesting write up on Kidney stones.

The kidney stone is painful in your kidney and the way down to your bladder. After that, it’s pain free.
I suggest to help make it pass easier is just drink like 1-2 gallons over 24 hours. You should be urinating every hour or so, or even more, if you’re a light-weight.
Other than that, us doctors can’t really do anything, except break it up. But it’s already pretty small.

Well, do you have a UTI as well, A.K.A. an Urinary Track Infection? If you do drink plenty of cranberry just as well it help flush your system. To have it wil no pain is kind of inpossible. Talk to your docter to ak him but other than that I don’t know sorry…

You will always have to piss it out.
However, I think they can stick a weird thing up your urethra, and kind of, blow up the kidney stone. And then you pass it.
Just letting you know, it’s supposed to be the male equivalent of birth.
