Kidney Stone Pain Questions
Is it the side/back/stomach pain that is the worst part? Or is it the stinging when you pee it out? I’ve been experiencing the side and stomach aches, I just dont know how badly I should be dreading the urination part. thanks

No…the back pain is by far the worst. It’s caused by the stone blocking the ureter (the tube that connects the kidney to your bladder) and causes a spasm. That’s the awful awful back cramping type feeling you get. Once the stone passes through the ureter and into the bladder you won’t feel peeing it out at all. (not unless the stone is massive, which the doctor would’ve noticed on the x-ray and most likely had the stone crushed)
make sure to strain your urine so you’ll know that you’ve passed the stone

For me, the side/back pain was the worst. I don’t know if that would be true for everyone. Plus, if you’ve gone to the doc and gotten pain meds, usually they will be kicked in when you pee it out.

Putting it in my husband words when he had one "size does matter, and this is the only time in your life that you wished you had the smallest dick in the world", in my words its like your having a baby instead of the females doing all the work.

The back pain is the worst. Once the stone gets to the bladder it’s pretty much over and it will quickly leave your body. It’s not pleasant to pee it out, but it’s nothing like the kidney/back pain.
I’ve had 2…

A better question to ask would be to ask how you can get rid of the wretched things.
