Sarah,
You say it happens after eating "rich" foods. Does that mean "fat" rich, "sweet" rich, etc? If it’s from a high fat meal, it could still be your gallbladder, but typically that pain will mimic ‘chest pain’ and be higher up.
More than likely, since it happens after eating or when lying down, you probably have a form of irritable bowel syndrome. Ask yourself these questions: Do I have unexplained diarrhea after these pains or any other times? Am I more constipated after these pains or any other times? What are the "rich foods" are you eating to cause the pains? (you may want to journal these things as they occur and what foods you ate and you may begin to see a pattern.) All of those things have a bearing, along with the rest of your dietary habits, smoking, alcohol intake, exercise or lack of, your periods, sleep habits, etc.
Since the pain could be so many things, (like a kidney stone or an ovarian cyst-too many to name here), if it continues or gets worse, you need to have an exam by your doctor. Good Luck!

Pinched muscles in your back pressing on the nerves for your stomach can produce some pretty bad pains. You would have to release your back muscles to get rid of that pain by doing this:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

That sounds like you might be constipated. You can really tell if it is above the appendix. This can be VERY painful and dangerous. It can cause your colon to rupture and that is not good and can lead to death.
Take a laxative and you will be fine.
