What are normal symptoms after a D&C?

I had a D&C 6 days ago. To remove a miscarriage. I had no cramping very little bleeding. Mostly just liquidy discharge that was redish. But today I had the worst cramps I have ever had I thought it was a kidney stone. That is the only pain I could compare it to. Now I am having a very heavy flow like my period normally was before I was pregnant. I was wondering if this is normal… Is this my period already?? I am normally very fertile… I got pregnant on the pill..

The cramping and the bleeding can be normal side effects of having a D&C for some women (an example only but I had some of this after I had a D&C for trying to find the cause of a problem I had in the late 90s), but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
