She has either kidney or bladder stones. It hasnt passed with her new diet and she is going into surgery this week. Today she threw up in the morning and just now she peed blood. It wasn’t even pee with little drops of blood. It was completely red. Is this an emergency? Or should I just wait until her appointment this week? Is this normal for stones?

Two nights ago I got this dreadfull joint pain, it was the most painfull thing I’ve ever experienced.
Now im left with Fever, mild mustle pains rather dizzy and I get chills from time to time. I had most the symptoms except bloody urine, but it did sting alot when I tried to pee, and I puked 7 times, puked water 4 times, I THINK i puked a few drops of blood, not sure if it was the pizza sauce but the fact I puked seven times including the water I couldnt possibly have any food left in me.
These are the symptoms i have..
Urinary tract infections (fever, chills, loss of appetite).
Tenderness in the abdomen and kidney region;(Not sure, feels rather soft and I think i feel some kinda popping like mustle)
Pain during urination (stinging, burning);
Nausea and vomiting;
Increased frequency of urination; I couldn’t pee but I felt like I had to, it was blocked pretty much.
Oh and I did have cloudy urine, Im guessing that meant i did have a bacteria
I hardly have Obsessive compulsive disorder symptoms stop trying to give pathetic incorrect answers.
I just wrote a question stating that i think my uterus is contracting and i asked if this is normal. now the pain in my bladder/uterus ares is getting more intense. tight and almost like a contraction. but now i have a sharp intense stabbing pain in my back right where my kidney is on the left side. so could the pain be a stone in the bladder, and not the uterus at all? could the pain in my back be a stone? now i’m scared to go to bed. last time i fell asleep thinking i had a stone, i woke up in such severe pain that i was unable to walk! i had to have my husband assist me into the car and i cried all the way to the hospital! what do you think?
About an year ago, I came to know that I have stones of few millimeters in both of my kidneys. I took medicines, and after nearly 6 months ultrasound showed that, my one kidney was free of stones. But the other one still had few. Now, from a month, I am having wetty stools. One of my friend suggested that may be my 1 kidney has failed that’s why I am so much watery content in my excretion.
So, I just want to know that what are the symptoms if only 1 kidney fails…?

I have a 2-3 mm stone that was diagnosed on Dec 1st in the ER when I had excrutiating pain…was told I passed the stone from my kidney. 1st stone ever, have no clue what is going on, scared and was set for surgery today! I postponed to next Tuesday.
I had a CT Scan at the ER on Dec 1st showing the stone in the left ureter. I had a CT-Scan/IVP on Dec 19th showing the stone at the entrance of the bladder. No swelling in my kindeys.
It has been over 5 weeks now since the ER. I have had 2 bouts of antibiotics for infection – blood in my urine (only seen by me as a little string in my strainer) but told blood in my urine with urinalysis. No cultures grew though.
I have tried the fluid/activity increase – lemon juice straight and mixed with oil – coke/asparagus – NOTHING is working. I can’t seem to pass this small stone and I am scared and over anxious aboout surgery and stent placement. The stone is slowly moving obviously, but hasnt passed since the CTScan-IVP
Have had a dull back and side ache for 3 days…frequent uriniation, then nothing all day. Doctor says could have UTI/Kidney inf or possible stone. Have had this before, went for urinalysis and my urine is crystal clear, like water, which is unusual for me. Do not have results yet. Is it possible to have an infection with clear urine?
Doc is schdueling an IVP as pain is getting worse.
I’ve have two children and know their labors were not the worst pain I’ve ever felt. I’m doing some research into the theory that for many women childbirth is their first experience with real pain, and so for them it is the worst pain they have ever felt. But for women who have had a baby and had other expereinces with pain, what painful events, procedures and injuries hurt worse than what you experienced in labor? I already have been told kidney or gall stones, lyme disease and chronic back pain. What else have you experienced that was worse than labor?
my handicapped brother died last month from peritonitis and gall stones. we are awaiting the autopsy, that is what the death certificate said he died from. my question is, what causes those things to happen? i understand you get an infection,but from what? it talks about cancer, and diseases. he did not have any kidney , liver, etc diseases, no tubing, no history of anything like that. so what can cause those 2 things besides diseases, i mean what gets that infection in your body? anyone know please let me know. im his fraternal twin sister and i did not get the handicapsy, however i would like to understand his death and how it got caused.
If the woman is married and has no other sexual partners then what causes it ? She had it while a go plus she has some fungal infection, yeast and other diseases around the womb??? plus a stone in her kidney. could it be the husband passed it to her? or could it be something else? also can the lady who is infected have a normal sexual relation with her husband and if not for how long?? the lady has been going through three surgeries so far to treat the PID!! the husband is concerned and is not satisfied but cant divioce her.

I had stent due to a stone in my kidney, it is horrible experience to have one.It pains all the time I pee, and I am unable to have bowl movement. Does any one have similar situation?
I drink lots of water and juice but no luck. The ER doc did a CT said stone is almost 6mm and doesn’t think I can pass it. It feels to me like kidney isn’t really functioning anymore or very much.

2 – YES, I know I can "google" this info, but I would like to hear personal experiences…
I had an IVP yesterday and they found multiples stones in my kidneys and bladder, and one lodged in my left ureter (never even heard of that part before, I guess it’s between the kidney & bladder). I am a 26 year old female with a 7 month old. I am hoping there are treatment options that will not prevent me from being able to breastfeed. I’ve even been avoiding pain meds!! Anyways, I go for the follow-up appt. and my "official" results tomorrow with my urologist.
I’m just curious –
1 – What procedure did you use/get to get rid of the stones?
2 – Was the procedure painful?
3 – What was the recovery time?
4 – Have the stones come back? If so, how long after?
5 – Did you figure out the cause of the stones? If so, what?

Besides kideny stones. I have had a terrrible pain on the right side of my lower back. I am assuming it is my kidney and not the muscle because I can stretch and bend that muscle and I can feel no pain or stress in that area.
I have had a bladder infection since march 8 and took 2 different kinds of antibiotic. Neither one helped. I started hurting worse this morning with pain in my right kidney. Dr. sent me for sonogram on my kidneys to check to see if i had a stone in them. I’ve never had a stone before. What were ur symptoms of one. I’m pregnant also.
like what are the causes for the stone to exist in the kidney ? and how we can prevent it?
I just found out that I have a 3.5cm staghorn calculi and I’ve had no symptoms of any kind of infection. the doctors want to do a surgery where they use concentrated energy to blast the stone this will be done several times. my kidney isn’t working now because of this thing. Will they end up cutting me open and taking out the kidney.
i still have mild pain in the kidney and flank its been about a week since my stone passed. is it normal to still have pain this long after the stone has passed?
I am pretty sure I have a urinary tract infection, I’ve had one before. This time though, I’m having back pain on the right side, and I’m worried it may have traveled to my kidney.
I really want to go to the doctor and have the urine test they do for testing for infections, but I did cocaine last night, and am worried that that might show up? Will it? How long should I wait before going to get the UTI test?
I have passed about 8 stones in one year and it has been one year since my last stone. I always have pain where my kidney is but then it just goes away. Is it normal to have pain on and off in your kidney?

So I just got back from the hospital, I was pissing blood so they did a CAT scan and said I had a 3mm kidney size, which is about the size of a pea, but still… I heard that if I drink enough water or something the stone could gradually get smaller and dissolve into dust and i wont feel it coming out, but I just want to make sure, they said they’re going to give my painkillers. So I was wondering if there is any specific diet that will decrease the size of the stone. I’m supposed to be passing it sometime next week.
