I went to the ER a few days ago because I was puking because my lower back hurt so bad. I ended up sitting there for 3 hours and they still didn’t see me, and by then the pain had dulled so I just went home. Now I go to the bathroom more frequently, ‘down there’ really hurts, like there’s pressure on it, and I have no energy. Is there something wrong with my kidneys?
I’ve been on Vicodin the past few days for a kidney stone and every morning I’ve been waking up with a headache and I just feel so tired and drained all day, even though I haven’t taken any Vicodin at all today.
Also, I am only taking 1 or 2 5mg Vicodin a day (if that) and the next day I feel like this.
Is this normal or is it caused by something other than the Vicodin?
I actually have 2 questions. I had a few symptoms of yeast infection (painful intercourse, burning when using the bathroom, discharge that was only white not thick or lumpy, and a little bit swollen). The only symptom I did not have was the itching feeling. I’m not sure if that just completly means that I don’t have a yeast infection or I still may. I did alot of research on the question I had but I did not find any answers at all. Can i still have a yeast infection even though i am not itching? My second question. Is it possible that maybe a pregnancy is causing my yeast infection? I have never had a yeast infection in my entire life and I am 19 years old however, when I was 8, I was diagnosed with kidney stone. I am very familiar with UTI’s and bladder infections and kidney infections, I have had them throughout my life. One thing I noticed is that it almost felt the same as the UTI’s and etc.. Except the painful intercourse so I realized I had something different and did my research. I had seen that pregnancy is the main reason for yeast infections. I do have unprotected intercourse with my fiance so I know it is possible to be pregnant(by the way we have been planning it is not unexpected) I have not taken a pregnancy test yet because it is to soon but I am late by a few days. Is it possible that maybe I’m getting a yeast infection for the first time because I am pregnant? Thank you for everyone that gives me helpful information on this matter.
I have had pain for a few days, how long to pass?
I have a VERY bad UTI/kidney infection. I started a high powered antibiotic today and was wondering how long it’s going to take to start feeling better? I’m drinking plenty of a water and cranberry juice and sitting on my butt.
I swear this hurts worse than labor and the kidney stone I had a few years back COMBINED. All I can do is sit back and cry and let the Tylenol take the edge off it. I feel like I’m dying I swear! 
I was showing all the symptoms of having a UTI for the past 4 days but I didn’t realize it. It wasn’t until I woke up with a fever of 102 this morning and was doubled over in pain that I went to get checked out and realized it was a UTI. I’m almost 38 weeks pregnant so I thought a lot of my symptoms were just from the being pregnant (peeing more often, pelvic pressure/pain, pain in my abdomen ect.) mixed with being what I thought was a flu like bug.
I can barely type right now I’m in soo much pain but I need to do something to keep my mind off it. If you have any experience with a UTI while please tell me. I need to know there is light at the end of this stupid tunnel. Are my antibiotics going to start working soon or am I going to feel like this for the next few days?
Sorry for being such a big baby. Maybe it’s just cause I’m soo pregnant but it makes me feel better to type all this till my hubby can get back to our house with more cranberry juice and bottled water.

back in october, i passed my first kidney stone. a month later, i passed another. a week and a half ago, i developed a bladder infection and it has been off and on since then. i took some azo and an antibiotic i found for a sinus infection and a lot of the pain would subside and my urine wasn’t cloudy or smelled anymore. but then a few days later it come back. i noticed yesterday i still had pain when i was done peeing.
now i’m experiencing sharp pain below my bellybutton and in my lower back, but i’m not sure if my bladder infection has turned into a kidney infection or if i’m possibly passing another stone. i actually have a doctor’s appointment today at 10 AM for a physical, but what could be going on?
I had my first kidney stone that had to be surgically removed on April 15.. just over a week ago. Before I could have surgery, I had to have a severe kidney infection and urinary tract infection clear up. They cleared up before my surgery. I also had a ureter stint put in that was removed on April 20. I took my last pain medicine (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) and my last antibiotic on April 20. Since then I have significantly increased my water intake and completely dropped drinking caffeine and cola soda.
My questions are:
Is it OK for me to drink quite a few alcoholic beverages tomorrow to celebrate my friend’s birthday so close after having a kidney infection and having non-invasive surgery (they went up my penis). The doctor said I had no restrictions and I am no longer have any pain at all.
Secondly, if I was to drink tomorrow night, could that one night cause me to have another stone? Meaning could I have no stone at the moment, but if I have 5-6 alcoholic drinks walk away with having a kidney stone in the next few days as a result? This may sound stupid, but I have anxiety about having another kidney stone because the pain of having one was so excruciating. Thanks!
my 59 yr old husband has a distended abdomen and pain in his side area. The xrays showed an inflamed kidney. It had been to the point where the stones had caused blockage to his intestines and the toxins caused sepsis in his blood and urine. He had been doing good a few days before this was discovered. His blood pressure had gotten low and his heart rate had gotten pretty high. He was also dehydrated.He had recieved white blood cells a week before because they were low.

I just had some blood work done on Thursday so with the holiday coming up it will be a few days until I get any results so in the meantime…
I have Grave’s Disease and had RAI back in 2005 and have done really well. The only symptoms that I had that weren’t resolved once my levels were normal were my kidney stones and arm pain. About every 2-3 months I will get really bad pain in either my left or right forearm that lasts just hours up to 3 days. 2 months ago I was in the hospital for a 5mm kidney stone and the urologist ordered some tests and thinks there might be something going on with my parathyroid gland. So he ordered additional tests which I just had done.
Does anyone know what he is looking for and it is what I have, then what?

About last november i devdeveloped whistling gurgling my chest and was quite ill for a few days i still have these symptoms but in june this year before my operation i decided to go to the docs and get it checked out
i had a chest x-ray and a few breathing tests all came back ok
What do i do now the hospital found i do have something wrong with my chest? i don’t like going to the docs again i have never been away for the past 6 months with various other things mainly to do with old sporting injurys and my kidney stones but not about my chest apart from that one time and dont want to sound like a hyphypochondriac

ive had a lot of pain up and down my right and left sides for the past few days. my back hurts too. ive been nauseaus and have to urinate a lot and hav no appetite; i heard these r all symptoms of a kidney stone; is that true? ive alsohad 3 bouts of pancreatitis in the past year so i gues it could in theory be that. r there any other kidney stone symptoms i should look out for? does this evenn sound like kidney stones?
I’m a 16 year old female.
Friday of last week, I started having the constant urge to urinate. And, when I did it was barely anything at all. When I woke up on Saturday, my back was in so much pain. So, I went to the store and bought Azo thinking it was a Urinary Tract infection.
There’s was blood in my urine, and I even urinated STRAIGHT blood for about a day.
My back pain kept becoming worse (specifically on the right side ) along with nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, fever, chills, fatigue, a bloated, sick queasy feeling. Just all round ill feeling.
I went to the doctor on Tuesday, the gave me a prescription to take for 10 days thinking it was a UTI, as I did. They called a few days later, saying it wasn’t. I have to go back and give a urine specimen after I finish my meds.
Please note:
All of my symptoms are now gone. I feel completely normal, besides being constipated.
Could this have been Kidney Stones?
I woke up a few weeks ago at 4am with excruciating pain in my lower right back, it lasted for approximately 2 hours, coming in waves, then suddenly dropped off and i was fine.
I went to a small hospital/doctors which was open on sundays, and they took a urine sample and said theyd get back to me.
Its been 3 weeks, ive heard nothing from the hospital, and every few days i get a really bad ache which is also quite painful, in my lower right back, feels like a muscular ache or spasm then turns into straight out pain, which lasts for approx 1 hour. In addition to this i usually get a dull ache in my right testicle, which makes me feel quite ill (similar to the after effects of being kicked in the nuts, guys, you’ll know what im talking about, lol)
Pain meds do almost nothing, even the likes of codeine.
I have to wait another 3 weeks to even find out if it is kidney stones (although my research points to YES), just wanted to hear it from someone else, and hopefully hear of similar symptoms from others.
Also, do you think, if the pain starts again, which it likely will as its been on and off every few days, i should just call an ambulance? That way i can get a definitive answer and treatment advice relatively quickly?
(Im in the UK by the way, so im not bothered about hospital bills, long live the NHS, lol)

This will be kinda gross, but it’s freaking me out. You’ve been warned. For the past week or so, I have had diarrhea and an upset/bloated stomach (I’ve actually been eating a little less). A lot of what would seem is water is coming out with the diarrhea. I thought at one point, I might be having kidney problems, like a kidney stone for example or just preliminary kidney failure. I also thought it may be because of my colon (the content of intestine processor) or prostate. But my mom is lactose intolerant to an extent. However, it all started with blueberries I ate last week (a whole gob of ‘em) but haven’t eaten any since. Can anyone help?
Diet
Wake up at 9:30, to late to eat breakfast
Eat lunch at 11 (generally soup, spaghetti, sandwich (usually with cheese) or leftovers (like orzo, salads etc.)
12-4, get a snack, usually fruits (if no fruit, usually a sandwich)
6 (Dinner) Whatever my mom makes (I am 15)
8 Sometimes I’ll get ice cream (I stopped a few days ago in attempt to alleviate the situation.
11 Have some yogurt (this week, it’s been yoplait, some of them whips.
I have intercourse (with certain guys) and I will have pain a few days later like a urinary tract infection. The pain is awful. The guy doesn’t even have to be big or rough. I do have an IUD. This has happened since I was 16. I am now 23 years old. I really like the guy I am with, but now it is happening with him. Any suggestions on what I can do or what is wrong with me? Should I go see a doctor for this problem?
Last night I went to the emergency room because I was in horrible pain, they diagnosed me with gall stones and said I would need surgery. However the surgeon was busy last night saving someone’s life so I was told to call his office on Tuesday and make an appointment for the surgery. I was just wondering if any of you with experience what I should absolutely avoid eating in the mean time? I know that I’m not suppose to have fatty/greasy foods and such, but are there any other less obvious risky foods that I should avoid during the next few days? And what sort of foods would you recommend eating? Right now, I’ve got a bunch of fresh fruit and raw veggies, but I’m trying to find something that would actually be a meal, verses a snack.
Also, for those of you that have had your gall bladder removed, what was your recovery like? I just had a c-section and the recovery sucked.

I had surgery on my left kidney about 9 years ago and it no longer functions. I started having pain in it a few days ago. It is a pretty severe pain and has even spread to my lower abdomen a little. I went to my doctor who put me on antibiotics. He said he is not sure what it is but it could be a kidney stone or infection. I seem to be prone to UTIs and kidney infections. Today I think I saw blood in my stool for the first time. I was wondering if that is related to what is going on with my kidney. Also, I had a renal ultrasound today and the tech was having a hard time finding my left kidney. She said she wasn’t sure what she was looking at and thought something might be in front blocking it. I’ve had ultrasounds before and they’ve never had this problem.
I also have blood in my urine.

I’ve had a 6mm kidney stone for about two weeks, it moved to my bladder a little over a week ago.
A few days ago it was trying to pass, but i’m not sure if it couldn’t because of size or lack of urine amount.
Would this be causing the tip of my penis to burn after urinating?

The past few months, every once in awhile i get a bad sharp pain in my kidney….
a few years ago i had a kidney stone. when i had the stone, i had a high fever and chills.
the past few days, my lower abdomen on the right side, and kind of on my back (hard to explain) has been getting sharp pains. the pain comes in waves. it usually causes me to have to stop what i’m doing it hurts so bad. i THINK and i’m almost sure it’s my kidney. when i pee its not bloody and doesn’t burn, but i’ve noticed sometimes it is a little cloudy.
I am 18 weeks pregnant, but it doesn’t feel like ligament pain or anything like that.
what do you think it could be? my kidney or something else? should i go see the doctor?
I have had a Urinary Tract Infection for a few days now. I am on antibiotics and I am about halfway through my treatment and I am wondering if it would make my condition worsen or draw out my recovery time if I were to smoke marijuana…any information would be greatly appreciated
I’m 40. A couple of weeks ago I went to my son’s soccer practice and was kicking the ball into the goal as hard as I could and did not warm up and I haven’t done this in years. That morning I woke up with the worst pain in the left side of my lower back that I’ve ever felt in my life. It came with nausea that felt like it would go away by going to the bathroom (#2). The pain lasted about 30 mins. and finally went away as weirdly as it came. It didn’t come back for 2 weeks when I was driving to the office from the plant (2 1/2 hours). That morning I felt as if I had pulled something in my back trying to put on my field suit. That episode lasted about 1 hr. The next day I had a small short episode sitting at my desk. I went to a uroligist the next day and he found nothing. (X-ray, dye test, urine test). I was ok for a few days until last night I woke up with the pain again. That day I had worked all day outside. My symptoms sound like a kidney stone but Dr. said he didn’t see. Help?
Now I feel lower back pain and testicular pain with a touch of abdominal. I am wondering if it is kidney stones. I often have to force my urine, sometimes I go so much more than I have drank water in that recent time frame, all I drink is water and I have a very limited diet that strays to cheap potato chips twice a month maybe. What is causing this pain? I only take (0.6) mg of colchicine the past few days and only taking one pill a day doesnt normally cause me this much discomfort. I have the "dull tooth ache" feeling in my back with throbbing teste.
