I went to my local ER the other night bcause I was having really terrible back pain and felt like my whole body was going to explode when I peed. I thought for sure it was a kidney stone. While I was there they did a cat scan and told me it was a stone and a kidney infection. I was given some antibiotics and pain meds then told to see my regular doctor as soon as possible. So I went to my family dr the next day and she told me that a kidney stone was not the only thing they saw on the CT. It also says in the report that the right ovary has several large cycts. My dr told me to see my gyno within a week, and now I can’t get an appiontment that soon. I have noticed before they told me about the cysts that I have pain during and after sex, a lower backache all the time, and I constantly feel like I have a bladder infection…that really awful buring sensation. Are those symptoms coming from these cysts? What should I expect when I do get to see my gyno?
I have just found out I have Ovarian Cysts…what the heck do I do now?

Crysti: So, what you are saying is that the cysts are what causes you to have a period…(wrong.) If I have several of them, then they will pop them and tell me how to not get them again…which in your describtion would mean I won’t ever be getting a period again, right? Let me educate you on a period. Periods come from the lining of your uterus shedding itself if the egg your ovary produces does not get fertilized with sperm and implanted into that lining. But, at any rate thank you for trying.
back in october, i passed my first kidney stone. a month later, i passed another. a week and a half ago, i developed a bladder infection and it has been off and on since then. i took some azo and an antibiotic i found for a sinus infection and a lot of the pain would subside and my urine wasn’t cloudy or smelled anymore. but then a few days later it come back. i noticed yesterday i still had pain when i was done peeing.
now i’m experiencing sharp pain below my bellybutton and in my lower back, but i’m not sure if my bladder infection has turned into a kidney infection or if i’m possibly passing another stone. i actually have a doctor’s appointment today at 10 AM for a physical, but what could be going on?
Where is a male cats bladder?
So my cat had a vet appointment on friday due to an injured ear, but friday morning i also noticed he was going to his litter box and not doing his business which i thought strange. So when we went to the vet i also mentioned this. The vet now has him on three different medications PLUS a Special wet food diet to help hydrate him, and told me to watch him for straining when urinating, crying when urinating, excessive licking of his penis, and or vomiting and not eating. None of those things have been a problem but im still really paranoid because if this small bladder infection gets worse it could become kidney stones which is very expensive for me and painful for him. I have not seen him urinate at all today but i hear cats only pee 1 to 3 times a day…… but i don’t know how to make sure he is even able to urinate. I also heard there is a certain way that a person could push on a cats bladder to make it pee. My question is how do you do that i cant find the answer anywhere online. I just really want to make sure he is able to. He seems much more playful and happy compared to friday or thursday. I just don’t know what do you yahooers think?
All my friend eats is fast food, and is havin health probs?
Everyday all my 19 yr old female friend eats is plain turkey sandwiches, donuts, soda, and always at LEAST one fast food meal a day(size med) she is on the skinny side as of now, because she only usually eats once or twice a day…but she has been having lots of abdomonal pain, (lower and back) and just had a bladder infection….she is also constipated and may have IBS..and may now have a kidney infection or kidney stones. I try to tell her its from the food she eats but she is just like no its not health probs run in my family blah blah. Any ideas what to do? I know that diet pretty much affects a person’s health. She thinks vegetables and fruit and water are "yucky"
Are kidney stones always hard?
I’ve been having symptoms that mirror what’s called kidney stone attack, sudden onset aches, bladder-infection-like symptoms, difficulty peeing, blood in urine and small lumps passing from my urine. I feel a lot better but none of what I passed was solid, most of it was lumpy and jelly. Does this mean there are still probably stones in there or what?
when going to the doctor for a urinary tract infection will they do an exam?
i’m pretty sure i have a uti or bladder infection or something of that sort. will they just do a urine test or an exam too?
Is this bladder infection or kidney stones?
Example of symptoms: Feel like I need the loo all the time, but know when I gotta go empty. Start urinating fine but as soon as stop after few seconds I get this stabbing pain that makes me lean forward to try and ease it. After this the pain continues and I still feel like my bladder isn’t emptied. It is impossible to get anymore out instead the urine turns to blood and drips out causing even more pain. After all this I have pains and feel like going to the toilet non stop.
I have the strongest pain killers possible and they arn’t working and neither are the anti-biotics prescribed. The doctor said it’s probably a Bladder infection as my kidneys wern’t sore but I’m worried that the pain killers arn’t working and neither are the anti-biotics. The urine samples show I have an infection, but could all these symptoms be Kidney stones?
I’m 14 years old
Also hurts as I pee, burning sensation then a stabing one when I finish.
My right side has been hurting any ideas?
My right side has been hurting for 5 months now i was working out 5 months ago and stabbing pain went through my right side, went and seen a doc they said pulled nerve. 3 months ago i had to go to the ER because i was in so much pain i could barely walk they took x-rays,cat scan and they thought it was my appendix well that came back and it wasnt but i looked inflamed. So i had a pap smear yesterday and my right side pain just went up it and she wanted me to get a internal ultrasound well i did that today because she thought it was a cyst and they said they saw nothing. My symptoms are pain on the right side starting under my ribcage, when im sitting it hurts towards the right by the appendix, i have been felling like throwing up,i was throwing up yesterday, i feel really nauseated when i drink a lot of water,i feel like something is pushing on my stomach like buldging but you cant feel nothing when you press on it, i have been feeling tierd, i have pain like i worked out overdid it right shoulder blade across my neck and middle back, i am having trouble breathing, hurts i have to take deep breaths, the only relief is laying on my right side,my bladder always feels full. My doc isnt in today but they told me it wasnt kidney stones, ovarian cyst, i dont have bladder infection, any girl problems down there. Any ideas?? I have been looking up on the net thank you.
I am 23, I weigh 140lbs at 5′6 i have 3 kids.
Moderate blood in urine, no bacteria found?
What could this be?
I think it has occurred simultaneously with a virus.
I have virus symptoms similar to a cold and a low grade fever.
They tested for bladder infection but found no bacteria, just "moderate" blood in the urine.
I also have lower side and lower back pain.
I’m on day 4 of Cipro, just in case it is a bladder infection.
They x-rayed for kidney stones but I won’t know ’til next week.
Any idea of what this could be? I still have aching in my lower back/sides somewhat and still had a fever as of yesterday.
Kidney or just aches?
I am an eighteen year old female. The other day I started having vaginal bleeding (it wasn’t my period..I can tell); it lasted only about 5 minutes then stopped. The next morning it was the worst feeling ever when I had to urinate and I had lower back and abdominal pain. My urine was full of blood and had a foul odor. It burned EXTREMELY bad whenever I urinated (and it still does 3 days later). I urinate about every 10 minutes. I went to the hospital where they made me give them a urine sample and they drew blood and determined it was a bladder infection/ Urinary Tract infection. Tonight, the 3rd day, I have horrible pains in the left side of my lower back, severe nausea, and the UTI symptoms are still severe. What could be wrong? (kidney stones maybe?) I’m really unsure. I took aleve for the pain but it hasn’t worked at all.

Blood coming from urine for the last 2 1/2 months.? Does anybody can relate to this?
I’m 20 weeks pregnant right now.Couple of months ago I noticed blood on the tissue (bright) when I went to the bathroom in the morning. I was very scarred.I tought is coming from the placenta. Later I realized (1 month later) it was coming from the urine. My doctor prescribed me amoxicillin. He sad is bladder infection (without even taking a test!!!) I felt very bad taking those pills, but I assumed is better, and hopefully it won’t affect the baby. Now 1 month later I’m back were I was, even worse. For the last 2 1/2 weeks my urine is awful.Bloody, especially in the morning, and my kidney hurt.I have to mention,I have kidney stone for couple of years now.I felt it moving in the last couple of days.I do not have any other symptoms. No fever, nausea,I have very good appetite. My urine is dark, has white flaky thing in it, and bloody, with bloody little tissues floating. I’m very scarred for my baby. I do not want any medication or stent put in.I’m going to the doctor on tuesday.
I haven’t mention this: I drink no coffee, sodas or sugary stuff, I drink cranberry juice every day and 3 liters of water.I’m very carefull with everything.I still think is my kidney stone.
Any vets know about animal kidney stones?
My cat was having some urinary problems a few weeks ago, he’d try to go and couldn’t. Now when you pick him up and touch his back end, he cries and pees on himself. Anyone know something that could help until I can get him to the vet? I’m assuming it’s kidney stones, but I suppose it could also be a bladder infection or urinay tract crystals.
How to deal with a urinary tract infection?
Today while at school, i didn’t feel well, i felt like i had to use the restroom every 2 minutes and it hurt when i did. I looked up the symptoms and i am very sure that i have a Bladder Infection.
I can’t see a doctor until tomorrow, is there anyway i can make this feel better in the mean time?
Prevent a kidney infection?
Is there anyway to prevent a possible oncoming kidney infection? I know drinking cranberry juice at the onset of a bladder infection can help, is there anything like that for a kidney infection? I’ve had kidney stones before and I know what the pain is like and where it is located, and it seems like my kidney is hurting a little. Id prefer to not have to go to the doctor if I dont have to.

when you have a bladder infection or a urinary tract infection do you ever pee anything out? I thought i might have kidney stones so ive been drinking a lot of water and stuff to be able to urinate. my stomach and stuff was cramping so i went to the bathroom and after drinking so much water i started urinating and i stood up to flush and i saw these little clear looking things in the toilet but they had a pink tint to it it kind of looked like flakes, but there were some bigger things in there too, kind of clear with some dark red on them. what is this? when i pee it burns as well and it hurts.
What's wrong with my Dad (liver bothering him and he has to pee a lot)?
Ok, two of the symptoms I already listed..
liver bothering him, he has to pee a lot, it hurts his bottom or liver to drive (sorry, forgot which one it is) and he works out a lot, does that have do with it?
He says he might have one of these two :
Kidney Stone
Bladder Infection
Thanks!
ps. He’s 49.
Uti or Kidney stones help?
Okay so here is the run down. I suffered from moderate lower back pain-right side only and the I had the syptoms of a UTI/bladder infection. I got antibiotics for a uti finished the ten day course. All the while I was still having moderate lower back pain strictly in my right side along with painful urination. Then all of a sudden the pain increased to the point of me moaning and rocking back and forth like I was going into labor. After that night I seemed to get magically better for one day then the next day I was having pain urinating but no back pain at all. I now just have on and off pain urinating. I am assuming it is kidney stones but I am not really sure how long this pain with urination should be going on. So far it has been exactly 2 weeks since the start of all the symptoms. So I guess my question is.. is this normal for kidney stones? or advice/ suggestions would be great
Hi I am a 25 year old female have 2 children and have had my tubes tied so i am not pregnant. however i started off with a bladder infection 2 months ago took cipro for 5 days it never fully went away then for the past month my right side lower back has been hurting. sometimes very bad where i cant bend over or it hurts to touch and feels very warm and sometimes it will be a slight pain. it no longer hurts very bad when i pee but every once in a while it will burn. about 3 weeks ago after i peed i notice 2 very tiny things in the toilet that looked like pearls are these kidney stones? now on top of this for 3 days i have had a sore throat stomach pain sinus drainage and am very fatigued. i know this is probably not related to the bladder infection but if anyone could help explain these symptoms and what to do i would appreciate it. i do not have insurance so i have been putting it off which i know is not good but i dont want to go to the doctor for them to tell me to take tylenol. thanks
Ok, I went to the hospital for pain in my back. I knew that it was kidney stones, I have a history of them. They found a very small stone, said it wasn’t big enough to cause the pain (bull crap!). They also sent out a urine culture because there was 3 plus bacteria in my urine. It took them 5 days to tell me that I didn’t have a bladder infection. But I have a constant burning sensation in my vagina, not just when I pee, its hard to pee and today there was a little bit of blood on the toilet paper (not from my butt). I know that the kidney stone is causing the pain despite what they said but should I be worried about the blood? I have an appt tomorrow but Im still worried. Does it sound like a bladder infection?
Anybody? ![]()
What is the difference between a bladder infection and a urinary tract infection?
I have had both both but I never really understood the difference. A bladder infection obviously affects your bladder opposed to your urinary tract and the UTI affects the urinary tract. How do the symptoms differ? Are they both treated the same way? Thanks
Kidney stones in women?
hi, I think I may be passing kidney stones. I didn’t think young women got them. I’m 22.
I have to per pretty often, like a bladder infection. It doesn’t hurt too much when I first start peeing but towards the end there is a very bad pain. It’s been going on for 3 days now.
So, does this sound like a kidney stone? And if so, how much longer will it take, how much worse will the pain get when I actually pass it? An finally, how common is this in women my age?
Aloha
