Sore inside nostril and Sinus Infection?
I am a otherwise healthy 33 year old male. About 5 weeks ago I started feeling really run down and extremely tired. I feel like my brain is only running on half a tank. Recently I went to the Dr. and got diagnosed with a sinus infection as a result of facial pain and my congested voice. I also had pressure behind my eyes and every time I turn them to the left or right I am in a world of pain. There is also white patches high up on the inner septum of my nostrils. After using my nasal cup it released one of the patches and it almost looks like a pit that leaks blood every now and then. When I went in to see the dr. I felt so sick I forgot to tell her about the insides of my nostrils. Not to mention she didn’t even look. Also, I have no signs of mucous at all coming from anywhere. The Dr. gave me avelox and Sudafed for 10 days. I have taken it now for 7 days and still no signs of mucous. My facial pain seems to be a little better, however I am still very tired and feel over all just sick. Tonight I’ve experienced annoying pain all around my colon areas. The worst pinpointed pain was 3-5 inches to the right of my belly button. It almost felt like the type of pain when I had a kidney stone 15 years ago. The belly button pain, I’m suspecting could be related to the appendix and after 3 hours it has almost gone away. I almost feel like the avelox might be causing more pain than when I started. I just read about how avelox has really damaged a lot of peoples health. I’m not even positive I have a sinus infection. It’s day 7 on Avelox and I can’t really say I feel much better at this point. Since I just moved here I went to a walk in clinic at the main hospital. I’m not sure If I should go back to see another Dr. or what? Could it be its too early for avelox to be taking full affect yet? I tried most of the at home approaches and didn’t get relief either. Does anyone have any advice? My face is getting pale and I just feel like a walking miserable zombie. Someone please help…

You need to go back to the doctor to be further evaluated–either back to the same walk in clinic, where they’ll have your records from the first visit, or to a new doctor–best choice would be an ear, nose, and throat specialist.
Make sure the doctor knows about the sores in your nose and that you really aren’t feeling better. The colon pain could be irritation from the antibiotic or something else; a doctor needs to evaluate your symptoms.
After 10 days, you should be feeling better if you have just a sinus infection. Be aggressive about being re-evaluated by a doctor.

Get plenty of sleep.
Maybe you need to get another Doctor’s Opinion.
Try Tylenol.
It’s your choice what you should take for your cold.
try Chicken Noodle soup.

See a Doctor asap as this sinus infection could be serious.Drink lots of orange juice and take a good multi vitamin every day.The vitamin C in the orange juice will help your sinuses.Do not pick at the sore nostril.I recommend that you look up the side effects to this prescription on the internet.Avalox allergies to ,may show pain in patients joints and may need a different antibiotic.

first off get a second oppinion, now if you live in an area where the humidity is low you need a humidifier to help ease your sinus problem. you can also get saline nasal spray as a mostiuriser. if sudafed is not working try actifed same stuff just in some cases it works where sudafed does not. pick up a bottle of lysine its a vitamin which your body creates naturally it helps to boost your imune system.stay away from all dairy product milk chees yogurt ..all these create mucus ..atleast till you get this thing under control.
