Should I bring my dog to the local veterinary school for surgery?

My dog has kidney (or urinary?) stones. My local vet in Alpharetta, GA said it costs 0 for the removal surgery. UGA has a top-rated vet school nearby. Should I bring her here for the surgery? Also, is it cheaper? Thank you!

Talk to your vet about this and explain to him about the cost. Any good vet worth his salt would give you good advice about the Veterinary school. I would also call the school and talk with them about it. They will be able to explain the procedure to you and costs involved. You don’t know unless you ask them, and it would give you the information you need to know. Good Luck to you.

Vet schools are sometimes cheaper than the regular vet.. you can call the school and ask how much it would cost.
