kidney stones?

I have had k.s. for 6 yrs now. 2x i had the lithotripsy. still have them one in each kidney; pretty large 6mm and 7mm. Has anyone tried the home remedies out there and had them work. I did the olive oil and lemon and uriflow herbal medication and nothing. Im desperate. Im up to about 3+ vicadins a day and still doesnt take away the pain. I feel im in hell and starting to get depressed, its affecting my whole life. I need help!

Hi! I had stones on both sides. It took two lithos and a ureteroscopy to get rid of the stones on the left side. I came very close to losing that kidney because it was blocked by the stone, which was about the side of a grape. The stones on the right aren’t bothering anything so my doctor is just watching them right now. I have never tried the lemon juice, olive oil or herbal remedies. I guess I’m afraid to try anything outside the bounds of conventional medicine. But I’m told that lemon juice doesn’t dissolve existing stones at all, but it does dissolve crystals in the urine and help keep future stones from forming. And my doctor’s surgery nurse told me some kidney stones can be almost as hard as a diamond, so I can’t see how anything like that could work. If I were you I would see my doctor again see what other procedures they recommend. It all depends on where in the urinary tract the stones are and what they’re made of. And be careful with the vicadin. I’ve heard some horror stories about people who got hooked on it and it ruined their lives. Anyway, take care and I hope you feel better soon.
