Kidney Stone Pain Questions
i want to ask how long does pain from a kidney stone last? When i get a pain in my right side and back it last up to five mins. it usually happens when i am urinating and the pain is so much that i have to stop. does that sound like i have a kidney stone?
also how often does ur side hurt for those with kidney stones? mine usually few times a week.
And how do i know that the stone is coming out soon? thx.

It sounds more like a urinary track infection than a kidney stone. Kidney stones do not necessarily hurt when you are urinating. Kidney stone pain also lasts longer than five minutes. Go to the doctor. Some simple tests should determine what the problem is. If it is a stone, kidney or bladder infection or something else, chances are it will not resolve on it’s own. Good luck.

If you have stones, they could be moving but when I had one that was going to pass, the pain did not go away. I thought I would die….. Believe me, you will know when you pass the stone.
You could have an infection but which ever it is, I would get an appointment with a urologist and get checked out before it gets any worse
