But I have worse cramping and pain on my left side all through my back. I don’t understand if it is on my right side why I would have barely any cramping on that side but bad cramping on my left. Any ideas.

I had one of those- sorry for you! Mine hurt everywhere, especailly under my ribs, which wasn’t even where it was. The body is very complicated. Your left kidney may hurt because it is working harder now that your right one is ‘injured’ sometimes other organs are affected also because of the decreased activity in that kidney. Drink lots of fluids and make sure you follow the doctors orders, hopefully it’ll go away soon.
