how much soda is too much to drink in one day?
in other words, how much soda can i drink before it becomes unhealthy? do nutritionists even allow caffiene as part of a daily diet? i usually drink two or three cans of 12 ounce sodas on average/day. there are some days like today, that i have drunken two or three cans plus a whole two liter bottle of pepsi. if i look at the servings, it says theres 8 per two liter. so 8 times the 28 grams of suger per bottle equals 224 grams of sugar. i don’t normally do this however, and its mostly when im tired. also, after im tired, and i already had a 5 hour energy drink. so im afraid of having kidney stones when i get older. i know the permanent efffects of caffiene, such as enamel loss. i can tell this by looking at my teeth in the mirror, and noticing the transparent shadow. i know soda does lead to bone loss, since the acids in the soda rob your body of calcium. i do have a bowl of cereal and plenty of milk in the morning. so im getting my daily recommended servings of calcium, as well as any other vital nutrients and vitamins. i also brush my teeth soon after cups of soda, so my teeth don’t also rot out when i get old. am i thinking about this too much?
also, go to work at 2, 3 and 4 o’clock in the morning. as soon as i clock in, i drink a 5 hour energy drink. before i come to work however, im terribly exhausted. then add to several cans of soda after the energy drink at work to keep me going, plus whatever soda i drink at home. am i leading to a problem?

If you drink more than a bottle a day, you’re asking you kidneys to self-destruct. You can get so many kidney malfunctions from even one soda per-day. Renal failure, kidney stones, kidney infection, inflamed kidneys. The main thing is to stick to caffeine-free sodas, they aren’t GOOD for you, but they aren’t as bad.

you really shouldn’t be drinking more then one 12oz can a day. every once in a while it is okay to have more, but the tons of sugar in soda is really unhealthy. try to even have some days with no soda. but you should realllyyyy cut down on the soda intake for sure. and even though your brushing you teeth right after your enamel is going to be affected, especially with the amount your drinking.

None is Ok. It’s garbage and has no nutritional value at all. Drink a Kombucha, it’s carbonated, delightful, and good for you.

I hate to be the one to tell you, but no amount of soda is "healthy". However, nearly everything thing is okay in moderation. If you are truly concerned, I’d recommend cutting soda out of your diet almost completely, ie maybe a can every now and then, but not daily. Not even weekly. Or, if you don’t have that kind of will power, maybe only three of four a week? It sounds hard, but it really isn’t. I quit soda cold turkey in May, and I haven’t had a drop of it since. It’s actually kind of gross to me, now.
Good luck. I hope I helped.

You are drinking way too much caffiene which will lead to heart problems. Instead of drinking caffeine try taking a supplement like B12 and multi-vitamins to keep your energy up. Make sure you eat a healthy breakfast in the morning. Not cereal, but eggs, whole grain toast and some fruit. That will keep your energy up as well.
