How long should a man wait to have sex after having a urinary tract infection?

Urinary Tract Infections
Currently on antibiotics for the next 6 or so days and have returned from a short sojourn in hospital due to the infection. I would like to cosy up to my wife, but am worried that sex may cause a rerun of the infection, which, by the way, I would not wish on my worst enemy.
The doc says the infection is due to an "irretable bladder" which reacts to stress and was not caused by my prostate or bad hygiene.
Sorry, "irritable"

Have to tell you that urinary infection can come from sex itself. It can be related. Unclean can get you urinary track infection. Some of my friends kept laughing at this 1 girl that had the strongest infection ever saying she sleeps around too much. antibiotics happen to do the biggest damage to liver and kidney overtime. It’s better that you don’t do anything until you’re fully cured you don’t want the infection worst or pass it on because germs will transfer. Also urinary track infection if it gets up enough to your kidney it can do permanent damage don’t take it lightly.
Make sure you’re 100% cured and then go enjoy your life.

I’m not an expert but my dad had an infection too, and he was advised to wait until he had taken all his antibiotics , and then a 5 day period. ( i only know that because he doesnt like being in the doctors on his own and i had to go in with him -_- )

you can have sex right away after the infection is gone.
