Do you always throw up when you have a kidney stone?

Kidney Stone Pain Questions
last nite i went to the ER because i was in agonizing pain
as it turns out, i had a very tiny kidney stone that would take a couple of days before it could be passed out
it was like about 4mm
so my question is, do u always throw up when u have a stone that small even without medication?

Sometimes pain causes people to throw up; it’s a response to the pain rather than to the kidney stone itself.
I didn’t throw up with mine, but I’ve known people who have.

No, it’s just a side effect. Everyone can feel differently.

Normally in that much pain, it is fine to throw up. But yeah I agree with everyone is different.
