Do kidney cysts cause abdominal and groin pain?

Kidney Stone Symptoms
I recently had a CT scan for what I thought was a pulled muscle in my lower abdomen, possibly groin muscle. The scan showed that I had several kidney cysts as well as an obstruction, more than likely a stone, in one of my kidneys. I have had no other symptoms such as infections or incontinence-kidney infections or back pain-nothing there-just the ab and groin pain. Could this be my problem?

Yes, it sounds like the source of your pain is definitely the kidney cysts. The major symptoms of kidney cysts are: abdominal pain or tenderness, blood in the urine, excessive urination at night, and flank pain on one or both sides. You can read more about kidney cysts (or "Polycystic kidney disease") here: http://www.healthline.com/adamcontent/polycystic-kidney-disease

Yes, that’s exactly how they could be described.
