I think i have a urinary tract infection and am kinda scared about what will happen at the doctor when i go for testing (im 13). Whst do you have to do?
I believe I have a urinary tract infection. My doctor ordered a urine test today (Friday) but I guess the results didn’t come back before 5pm and I never heard from him. Now it’s Friday night and I’m a little worried because I won’t hear anything until Monday. Can this get serious if it’s not treated before Monday?

Me and my girl friend had sex a few weeks ago, about a week after she started feeling weird and later found out it was a urinary tract infection. we haven’t told her mom and want to keep it from her until we’re both ready to tell her. Can anyone tell me if a doctor would be able to find out that her sexual activity is what caused her UTI?
about 3 weeks ago i started having a uti and i took antibiotics and drank alot of water and cranberry juice and it went away within 2 day. the problem is that it keeps coming back within the same month. i cant handle it any more and i do not want to go to the doctor because i do not have medical insurance. is there an effective home remedy that i can perform that will aid and cure my urinary tract infection. . . i am desperate!!!!!!
I only drink bottled water now but is there something else that would help also?
I started drinking copious amounts of cranberry juice, water, and took AZO almost immediately after I realized I had a urinary tract infection. It never burned when I used the restroom and my urine is completely clear. I’m already feeling much better and the actual symptoms appeared only about a day ago. Is it necessary for me to make a trip to the doctor if the problem seems to be clearing up without antibiotics?

I went to my doctor on Tuesday (Today is Thursday) and was prescribed Macrobid 1 Pill Twice a Day. I have taken 4 doses and still have awful burning and frequent urges. How long does it usually take before the antibiotic kicks in to give some relief?
My girl has a mild UTI and she’s going to the doctor tomorrow to get some antibiotics. We just aren’t sure if we have to stop having sex or what. Since it only effects the urethra I would think it’s OK to continue…but the meds have to be taken for like 3-5 days so it would really suck to stop for that long.
Yo…she says she feels up to it. And I’ll have to use a condom since she’s on BC.
Did anybody experience terrible vomiting? Did the doctor prescribe something else that is safe? My Doctor says that my pregnancy is so early on 7 weeks, that Macrobid is the only things thats safe, but I’m having bad reaction to this.
My main question is What causes the UTI in the first place, though.

Since my husband got his Urinary Tract Infection, and is now being treated, he doesn’t have to go pee all the time and nothing come out, but he does have to focus and it takes a bit to start peeing. Will this go away?
Oh yes, hydration… he drinks PLENTY of water/fluid. Today so far a gallon of water and 20oz of gatorade.
my period is almost 3 days late and i have a urinary tract infection. its basically gone away but im stil on antibiotics for a few more days. is it possible that im late because of the uti?
This is a question for the ladies. I was noticing a foul smell so I went to the doctor’s to take a urine test. She prescribed me with medicine before the results came back but I just called today and they said everything was normal. What happens if you take uti medicine with no uti? And any ideas as to what the smell might be if everything is normal?

I’m an 18 years old male. I have Urinary tract infection and suffering from fever and dysuria (feeling weak) . I don’t smoke much (I smoke 1 cigarette per day). So is it OK to smoke with UTI and fever? By the way I’m taking antibiotic (Nitrofurantoin and paracetamol).
