right, im 15 but i have kidney disease which causes kidney stones.

i recently woke up with bright red urineand pain when i wee so went to the doctors and sent a sample off, in the meantime they gave me antibiotics, which (for the moment) have cleared my symptoms,, although i still have some pain.

other symptoms that i still have are tiredness, generallyy feeling under the weather, i have chronic pain anyway but the pain seems to have gotten worse.

in the past iv had experiences with antibiotcs stopping the symptoms for as long as im on them and then the symptoms coming back as soon as im off them.

do you think this is an infection or a kidney stone ?

what shall i do ?

About a month ago I was having sharp pains in my kidneys, the right one mostly, and frequent urination. I went to the doctor and they said I had a uti and gave me bactrim and it cleared up. As soon as I was done with the antibiotics the symptoms came back. I lived with it for another week or so, then the kidney pain became severe. I went to the er where they perfomed blood and urine tests, a doctor examined me and they also gave me a CT scan and could find nothing wrong. They said I had no stones or infection, offered me painkillers, which I declined, and sent me home. I have been to two doctors, urgent care, and the ER and I am really at a loss of where to turn next. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? The symptoms are not as severe as they once were, but still are there, also I have been feeling a great amount of fatigue. I am on 3 medications… Zoloft, klonopin (only as needed I rarely take it) those are for anxiety. And I was on Adipex, but stopped taking it two days ago because it seems that all of this started a few weeks after I began taking it and I don’t like how it makes me feel. Are any of these meds related to kidney problems that anyone knows of? All of the doctors I saw were aware of the meds I am on and didn’t say anything, but I am running out of places to turn. Help Please!!!

How can I get a symptom or problem worth going to the hospital for, without doing something crazy like shooting myself? Maybe something like a kidney stone? I need to give myself a painful symptom.

I’ve never had a weight problem until I started medication when I was 18 for an illiness I had. I went from 130 to 200 by the time I was 20. I’ve done everything you can think of to lose weight. I’m not an over eatter and I don’t binge on junk food. I’ve always had the same eatting style and lifestyle. I do blame the drugs for the weight can. The drug I was one does increase the levels of cortisol while you are taking it. I’ve been off it a while now. My midsecion and face is plump and my legs very thin. I just passed a kidney stone and I have a small hump on my back. These are some of the symptoms I found of cushings. I also read that people get falsely diagonsed with PCOS instead of cushings. Please answer only if you have experience with this.

Hello, I have been having changing symptoms over the past 2 months and it is almost impossible to get a diagnosis. I’ve had endoscopy, colonoscopy, blood tests. The pain started in my left side lower, It was an ache I could feel it when I would bend down. I had a very swollen vein in my left testicle that morning. The swollen vein went away that day, but the ache lasted for a month. I finally went to the doctor and had a ct scan done, everything was normal except 2mm possible kidney stone in left kidney, which "shouldn’t be causing any pain."

Well now for the past month the right side of my ribs has a bad pain when I lean back, I also feel nauseous throughout the day (I am not sure if this rib pain is making me feel unwell, but I have no desire to puke.) Had a kidney ultrasound and gallbladder ultrasound, all okay.

Sometimes I will wake up in the middle of the night and feel like my left leg is VERY weak, hard to explain. There is something going on, but I cannot find the answer. I almost feel a numbness senstation somtimes. I do not have much anxiety, mentally I feel fine.. although the last doctor kept saying it was anxiety. Well if that’s true, why can I not even throw a ball without this shooting pain under my right rib? Where do I go from here?

Could there be some sort of blood clot somewhere in my body causing this? What tests should I have done?

I’ve been on Vicodin the past few days for a kidney stone and every morning I’ve been waking up with a headache and I just feel so tired and drained all day, even though I haven’t taken any Vicodin at all today.
Also, I am only taking 1 or 2 5mg Vicodin a day (if that) and the next day I feel like this.

Is this normal or is it caused by something other than the Vicodin?

My urine test showed some blood, but no sign of infection. I am not having any other symptoms (besides pain in my side, which is why I went to the doctor to begin with).
Today I’ve had a low-grade fever of 99.5 and I just feel really worn out and tired.
What could this mean? If I had some kind of infection, wouldn’t my pee smell/look weird or something?
Also, there is a small chance I am pregnant…is a low grade fever a sign of pregnancy??

I’m a 15 year old female
Two nights ago I got this dreadfull joint pain, it was the most painfull thing I’ve ever experienced.
Now im left with Fever, mild mustle pains rather dizzy and I get chills from time to time. I had most the symptoms except bloody urine, but it did sting alot when I tried to pee, and I puked 7 times, puked water 4 times, I THINK i puked a few drops of blood, not sure if it was the pizza sauce but the fact I puked seven times including the water I couldnt possibly have any food left in me.

These are the symptoms i have..

Urinary tract infections (fever, chills, loss of appetite).

Tenderness in the abdomen and kidney region;(Not sure, feels rather soft and I think i feel some kinda popping like mustle)

Pain during urination (stinging, burning);

Nausea and vomiting;

Increased frequency of urination; I couldn’t pee but I felt like I had to, it was blocked pretty much.
Oh and I did have cloudy urine, Im guessing that meant i did have a bacteria
I hardly have Obsessive compulsive disorder symptoms stop trying to give pathetic incorrect answers.

Since Thursday night i’ve had the symptoms of a urinary tract infection. I feel the urge to urinate every 5 minutes just about, and i have to go ! even though most of the time it’s only a few drops that come out. Also, when i’m almost through urinating i feel this really weird pain. Not through the whole time i’m urinating but just when i’m almost finished. I see everyone is describing the pain as a burning feeling. I guess mine does, but it’s not that bad. It’s like a really weird hurting pain with a little bit of burn. At first my urine looked normal but now i’ve been noticing just a tiny tiny bit of pink it in, but not all the time. And now something even more – Since last night ( saturday night ) when i wipe i see these pieces of like … tissue. I don’t know what they are, so that’s just what i’m gonna call them, tissue. They’re a yellowish – orange color and gooey and some are just little specks but this morning when i whipped i found a much bigger one. it was long and thin. probably about as long as your pinkie finger nail. and it led to this round orangish color thing. it was a little bit bigger than this letter " O " it had a red line running either on – or through it { i didn’t really look } and it went all the way up the long yellowish – orange thing. when i first looked at it i thought it was an egg. with something attached to it. like an umbilical cord. but how in the world would this come out when i urinate ! if it really was an egg it would be coming out of another spot right !! ? but just to say – if it really was a fertilized egg, and i had a miscarriage after probably only 2 weeks wouldn’t i have different symptoms ?
i don’t think urinary problems are a symptom of having a miscarriage … but please tell me if i’m wrong.
and please tell me if you’ve exprienced anything like this, because i couldnt find it anywhere else on the web.
i’ve had no other problems, no other pains, fevers, nausea, or anything. just an urgency to urinate all the time, and pain when i go. plus a little bit of blood sometimes.
i don’t go to the doctor until tomorrow, and i’d like to get some ideas on what it could be besides a UTI, blatter infection, or kidney stone.

I actually have 2 questions. I had a few symptoms of yeast infection (painful intercourse, burning when using the bathroom, discharge that was only white not thick or lumpy, and a little bit swollen). The only symptom I did not have was the itching feeling. I’m not sure if that just completly means that I don’t have a yeast infection or I still may. I did alot of research on the question I had but I did not find any answers at all. Can i still have a yeast infection even though i am not itching? My second question. Is it possible that maybe a pregnancy is causing my yeast infection? I have never had a yeast infection in my entire life and I am 19 years old however, when I was 8, I was diagnosed with kidney stone. I am very familiar with UTI’s and bladder infections and kidney infections, I have had them throughout my life. One thing I noticed is that it almost felt the same as the UTI’s and etc.. Except the painful intercourse so I realized I had something different and did my research. I had seen that pregnancy is the main reason for yeast infections. I do have unprotected intercourse with my fiance so I know it is possible to be pregnant(by the way we have been planning it is not unexpected) I have not taken a pregnancy test yet because it is to soon but I am late by a few days. While I was there they did a cat scan and told me it was a stone and a kidney infection. I was given some antibiotics and pain meds then told to see my regular doctor as soon as possible. So I went to my family dr the next day and she told me that a kidney stone was not the only thing they saw on the CT. It also says in the report that the right ovary has several large cycts. My dr told me to see my gyno within a week, and now I can’t get an appiontment that soon. I have noticed before they told me about the cysts that I have pain during and after sex, a lower backache all the time, and I constantly feel like I have a bladder infection…that really awful buring sensation. Are those symptoms coming from these cysts? What should I expect when I do get to see my gyno?

First off Ive been takeing a new multivitamin so my urine hasnt looked or smelled right to begin with, and Ive been exercising a bit more this past two weeks to loose a few pounds so I have been haveing lower back pain. So Im not sure if those are symptoms or results from the above.
But other actually symptoms are:
burning on urethra but not when urinating and very sore to the touch.
bladder feels full but not urinating enough
white stringy discharge
and grainey or dark sedimant in urine some look like sand and some are spots nothing big but noticable after I urinate and Im not meaning to really look lol.

Could I be passing small kidney stones or is this a UTI. Ive only had one Uti and I only new it because I was vomiting , had cold sweats, and was running a 103 degree fever. HELP!

I am a 16 year old, perfectly healthy. Today I woke up fine and about 3 hours after waking up I started to have some painin my lower back right above my hip bone or on the top of the bone, I cant really tell. It would start hurting when I moved or walked around. It wasnt terrible pain jus enough to annoy me and be brought to my attention. It has been going on all day and then about n hour ago I started getting pan i my right lower abdomin across from my belly button ad also right aross from my belly button on the right side. and down about an inch. Could these be related? What could this be? Could I have pulled a muscle? Could this be appendicitis? I was thinking ot since I didnt think the pain would start from your back. but i dont know for sure. I havent done any excercise for a while so its not from that. I have no other symptoms at all. Or could this be a kidney stone?

So I had a UTI and before my period it went away or so I thought it did…
I started my period the 29th of July and it ended Aug 5th my cramps were really bad. (they’re never that bad) and my period never lasts that long it usually is just 3-4 days.
The last day of my period (the 5th) I sex, but didn’t finish, then about ten minutes later, he stuck it in (it was dry there was no precum) and it was in there for less than 15 seconds!

…. three days after we had sex I got a sharp pain in my lower left abdominem that lasted for about 3 hours.
ever since that day till today, I’ve been getting cramp like feelings, pain in my hips and my boobs are sore (they were sore before the sex though) my lower back is cramping too.
I also got a pain right under my rib cage on the right side. and gas but I’m not farting….

I’m really concerned with what is wrong here, I can’t go see a doctor so please don’t tell me to do so. I need Help

am I pregnant?
did the UTI lead to Kidney Stones?

Please!

I’m going insane thinking of the possibilities.

About three weeks ago I had a very sharp and sudden pain in my back on the right side. It continued, infrequently for the next couple of days. I also began to experience symptoms of a bladder infection so I went to the doctor and told them all of my symptoms and they tested my urine and said I had a bladder infectoin and gave me Bactrim to take for 5 days. They said nothing about my kidneys. I finished my antibiotics yesterday and was feeling okay. Today I have been getting sharp pains in my back again, I have no fever, and no UTI symptoms, so I don’t think its an infection, could it be a stone? If so should I go to the ER or wait for a doctor’s appt?

Ok So About 2 weeks ago i found out i had a kidney stone and my symptoms were just pain and when i got to the hospital i found out i had blood in my urine but i didnt know of that before i went to the hospital and today my symptoms is just pain once in a while but not as severe as it was before and idk if i have blood in my urine because like 2 weeks ago i didnt know but i found out after a urine test. Im 15 and in the last year or so every time i go to the toilet to urinate, it starts to hurt, in fact i get more pain before i begin to urinate, just before the urine comes out.

From the last 4 months i have noticed blood every time i urinate, and when i finish – a drop of blood pops out.

Is this a possible symptom of kidney stones?

I was in the ER twice in the last week, first they diagnosed me with a kidney infection and put me on antibiotics… that did NOTHING and I was in so much pain in my back and side that I wanted to fall over and die… The second time I went back they diagnosed me with pelvic inflammatory disease, the pain has gone away but I still have some symptoms that haven’t. AND I don’t think have anything do to with PID:

Itching beyond belife (bug bite like things all over me)
Stop and go peeing, cloudy urine, takes me about 10 minutes to start peeing.
I am severely bloated
And the classic sign, I have this metal taste in my mouth, (also i kinda smell metal sometimes I don’t know if that is a normal part)

They did do an ultra sound of my kidneys and they said no stones and no swelling… could I still have something wrong? Because I don’t think all these things go with PID

Also I am cold all the time, and I am dizzy!

Crysti: So, what you are saying is that the cysts are what causes you to have a period…(wrong.) If I have several of them, then they will pop them and tell me how to not get them again…which in your describtion would mean I won’t ever be getting a period again, right? Let me educate you on a period. Periods come from the lining of your uterus shedding itself if the egg your ovary produces does not get fertilized with sperm and implanted into that lining. But, at any rate thank you for trying.

I had a kidney stone one time and they gave me a relaxer and I swear, all it did was let me feel it all but be unable to complain or speak up. Like I was a zombied out. It was horrible. Then, when it was over, instead of resting as I was supposed to – I was madly walking up and down our driveway for hours, my body needed to ‘work the poisons out.’ I called the anestheologist and he thought I was a nutcase and said that all this was impossible. I do have a total fear of being knocked out and out of control – had this fear forever, I even had natural childbirth both times due to my fear. (Which went fine.) So…. what do I do about the colonoscopy? I seem to have symptoms of diverticulitis and take a stool softener/colon cleanser and that helps alleviate symptoms, but if I quit, the symptoms return immediately. Can’t I just live this way and not do a colonoscopy? I spoke to my doctor and he said you really have to be knocked out, that you don’t want to be awake. Thanks in advance.

I have a VERY bad UTI/kidney infection. I started a high powered antibiotic today and was wondering how long it’s going to take to start feeling better? I’m drinking plenty of a water and cranberry juice and sitting on my butt.

I swear this hurts worse than labor and the kidney stone I had a few years back COMBINED. All I can do is sit back and cry and let the Tylenol take the edge off it. I feel like I’m dying I swear!

I was showing all the symptoms of having a UTI for the past 4 days but I didn’t realize it. It wasn’t until I woke up with a fever of 102 this morning and was doubled over in pain that I went to get checked out and realized it was a UTI. I’m almost 38 weeks pregnant so I thought a lot of my symptoms were just from the being pregnant (peeing more often, pelvic pressure/pain, pain in my abdomen ect.) mixed with being what I thought was a flu like bug.

I can barely type right now I’m in soo much pain but I need to do something to keep my mind off it. If you have any experience with a UTI while please tell me. I need to know there is light at the end of this stupid tunnel. Are my antibiotics going to start working soon or am I going to feel like this for the next few days?

Sorry for being such a big baby. Maybe it’s just cause I’m soo pregnant but it makes me feel better to type all this till my hubby can get back to our house with more cranberry juice and bottled water.

im 16 i do weight lift and take supplements like protean,creatine 3 days last week i was on the loading phase of my creatine cycle and i had a workout i was relay tired and my mouth was totally dry i came home drank protean and fell a sleep i didn’t wake up for 10 hours when i woke up i had flu like symptoms but i soon figured out i was dehydrated iv bean drinking around 16 to 20 glasses of water ever since but i have pain while urinating the pain is on the right lower side of the stomach it is above the crotch area but on the lower end of stomach its a slight but i feel it im afraid i might have a kidney stone is it possible for me to get a kidney stone i know its not a std because im not sexually active im on 16 male?

I woke up yesterday morning with severe pain in my back, right below the ribcage. It hurt to inhale deeply, cough, laugh, twist my torso, and even just standing or sitting. I may have possibly had a UTI the day before, but I didn’t think there was any correlation. It was pretty bad, and I was freaked out, so I went to the ER. They gave me a CT scan, urine test, and some major painkillers.

When I got the CT results, the doctors said that even though they couldn’t see a kidney stone, that’s what they believed it to be. (They said the symptoms added up: "wrap-around" pain in the kidney area, good response to painkillers, blood cells in urine) So with a nice prescription for heavy strength Ibuprofen, I went home. Minimal pain for the rest of the night.

THIS morning, I woke up with very little pain on my right side (the original side), but lots of pain on my left. It was as if my kidney stone switched places! Could it be possible to have two kidney stones, one right after the other?

I’m also skeptical about the CT scan. Wouldn’t a stone have showed up on it? Could I have an infection? I don’t have a fever or any other symptoms besides those listed above.

My husband has had this pain in his back for about a week now and each day it gets worse. He first thought a kidney stone, because he gets them frequently but he said this time is different. It’s not excruciating pain. It is sharp and stabbing, but not like a kidney stone. And usually he has blood in his urine by now and he doesn’t have that and the pain hasn’t really moved.

He doesn’t have a fever. The pain is right below his rib cage on the right side of his back. It’s not tender to the touch, but it does hurt to lay on it in certain positions. Basically if his body isn’t all contorted, he’s in pain. The pain does not come and go, it is constant. Aleve has not helped (which I hate giving him NSAIDS because he has a genetic fatty liver, but it helped his pain in the beginning).

He also feels bloated all along his right side (it’s not a visible swelling to me) and he said all he wants to do is sleep.

He’s been drinking tons of water and no change in symptoms. Any ideas?
