Can gall stones cause bowel issues? Has anyone experienced this?

Gallstones
I was just told I have large gallstones. I have had these symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome for the past 9 months, and I just wonder if the gall stones are really what was causing my problems. I would eat and then suddenly food was too rich and I’d get crampy and then have an urgent bowel movement- usually diarrhea. I would also get shaky, like tremors, and sometimes chills and nausea.
Have any of you had those sort of symptoms with gall bladder issues? Did it resolve after having it out?

I just had my gall bladder out about 2 months ago and I was experiencing the same symptoms before having it removed. Since having my gall bladder out I don’t have those symptoms. I do have problems with greasy fried foods and the doctor warned me that I may have a problem with those types of foods after having my gall bladder removed. So I just avoid them and when I do eat fried foods its 50/50 on whether I will have an urgent bathroom issue, but definitely NOT like before.

my problems came after my gall stone attacks and my gall bladder was finally removed. i get all the same symptoms you do and it took many years to get back to normal! the doc said the two aren’t related, but i know several people who’ve had their gall bladder removed and complain about the same problems.

My father just recently had his out. And had a lot of stomach and bowel problems. And since it has been removed, have went away. He also has had very bad back pain for years, and his doctor told him that, it was also caused by his gallbladder.
