Kidney Stone Pain Questions
I’ve been having left side pain for about a week. The doctor said that I have a UTI and I might have a kidney stone. The pain is from my shoulder blade down to my hip. Is this from the kidney stone or maybe something else?

It’s hard to say exactly but you might want to get a 2nd opinion just in case. I found a posting on this site with someone talking about the same pain you have. They say it might be stenosis of some type. Hope it helps!

That’s from a pinched muscle in your back and to get rid of it you have to free up those muscles. Here’s how to release them to set them free:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

Doesn’t sound anything like a kidney stone problem. Usually the pain (which is excruciating) is lower down on the back and over the lower hip area as well as the small of the back. I would definitely get a second opinion from another DR. Suggest using a Urologist.
