I have passed about 8 stones in one year and it has been one year since my last stone. I always have pain where my kidney is but then it just goes away. Is it normal to have pain on and off in your kidney?

My sister in law has been in the hospital for 2 and a half months, and will be there for a while yet. She has a really rare kidney disease that gives her extreme pain, worse than kidney stones, She is on pain medication all the time. I feel so bad for her she spent her 20th birthday in the hospital. I don’t know what else we can do for her, so I’m looking for ideas.

She already has flowers, balloons, food, cards,pictures from our daughter. Shes getting bored of watching tv. She has a horse and misses him a lot, but has had a few day passes and went to see him. I’m bringing her some career books for her to look at. She had plans on joining the military, but no longer can due to her disease.

What can I do for her?
we also got her a gift card to a salon
She actually asked for the career books, she has a lot of time on her hands. She had a life plan and now has to re think what she wants to do for her life. Also she can’t have a lap top in the hospital.

For the past week I have been in pain on my lower right side. It is right around where my hip bone is, but on the inside… My doctor thought it was a kidney infection/stones, but a sonogram has revealed this not to be the case. I am NOT pregnant nor do I have an STD (I have been tested). Any idea what this could be.

Symptoms…
1. Pain on lower right side, sometimes so bad I cannot walk.
2. Used to have pain during urination.
3. Slight cramps.
4. Possible fever.

My basset hound, Maggie, is 4 years and 7 months old. I took her to the veterinarian yesterday thinking she had a urinary tract infection so the doctor did a urinalysis on her and said that I would definitely have to switch her diet since her PH is at a 9 and the proper level is supposed to be a 7. She also told me that she was going to do an x-ray on her to see if she had any kidney stones. To my relief she didn’t but the doctor took me into a private room and then showed me the x-ray depicting a more serious condition. She said she noticed an abnormality that she found in her spine. I don’t remember what the vet called it but she said that her spine is fusing together and that my dog would have to be put on Glucosamine Chondrodant that would help her with her joints but that her back had severe arthritis. She said that it could get to the point of my dog eventually becoming handicapped or possibly even paralyzed. How many people have experienced this issue and is there anything I can do to prevent it from worsening? What should I expect and how long should I expect her to lead a normal life? The vet wouldn’t say. She is my baby and even the thought of this happening to her just tears me up inside. Any advice?

I’ve been seeing an older guy for a few months now, he has been married before and has a few kids. well, he’s actually had kids with 3 different women. With me being in my mid 20’s and him being, well 52, it seems like its wrong, but it doesnt feel wrong. His two oldest daughters are my age and I spend a lot of time with the other, we hang out quite a bit cause we’re similar and share the same interests and get along well. I get along with all of his kids, I actually like having kids around and cant wait to have my own! There are several positives to dating an older man. My friends dont think it makes much sense because its not the type of guy in the looks dept that i would normally go for. I actually think he looks older than his age, but its because of his beard, which has a little grey in it. He’s probably not as healthy as young guy my age, maybe not as hot either, but is more responsible and caring. His only major health problem is kidney stones. I know he said he’s passed over 15 stones and he has passed 1 since ive been dating him. He said doctors dont really know why he keeps getting them, he’s changed his diet, drinks more water and stuff, but still ends up peeing out a kidney stone every once in awhile. I really like this man and want to have a baby with him.

Can a urinary tract infection be mistaken for pregnancy? My girlfriend miss her period, had pelvic pain once in a while, says she is having "hat flashes". The last time we had sex was 2 months ago. She took 2 pregnancy test, both came out negative. surely, she would show positive if 2 months pregnant. !! Could this be a urinary tract infection???

So i got kidney stones back in septemper, ever sence i have been in on going pain. I have had them twice, with frequent UTI like symptoms, and ruptured ovarion cyts. I have been brought up to kind of grin and bear it so i have just push ed the pain aside. Until now. I cant take it anymore. Im hurting.!!!!! So i went to the uerologist, after checking with the DUMB gyno, honestly shes a tool. Anyways, im still waiting to get a Ct scan. We all are thinking its kindey/bladder stones. But! im starting to think its pancretitis—-because its often confused with kidney stones, and all the symptoms ironically i have. Oh and did i mention i have this out of the blue lesson on my pancreas. Yup! So anyone familair with the "disease" that can tell me about it ect.
For starters, yes there is such thing as bladder stones, its when the kidney stones have moved there way to the bladder and gotten stuck, they are kidney stones but because of their place they are bladder stones, so can be called the same thing. Yes i know i had kidney stones my mom is a doctor, and im going to be a premed student and i went to the er. You cannot treat kidney stones once they have passed, well the hospital couldnt anyway.

I have been in pain for over 2 weeks and an x-ray department confirmed a kidney stone which at last passed on Friday but I thought that the pain would just go away but I still have a severe pain that shoots down my leg and into my groin is this normal? I have been having pain in my groin that goes from just behind my scrotum and all the way to my lower back. I have had kidney stones but this is a different kind of pain.

No trouble starting my urine stream or maintaining it, but when I’m finished, it slows to a trickle.

Hey everyone, I made a previous question that was like this but I didn’t know how to work it so I just deleted it ._. but anyways (lol) like I said I’m 12 years old, I weigh 145 and my height is 5 and 1. I need to lose weight the old fashion way. Eat healthy and exercise. It’s been 8 days I have been doing my diet thing and I didn’t lose weight whats so ever. I usually eat baloney with ketch up and lettuce with white toast bread. With some crackers and water for lunch (I pack my lunch when I go to school because the food there is unhealthy and fat). Than when I go some I eat something healthy and exercise and if I get hungry I guess I’ll eat an orange. That’s my little routine. I haven’t lost weight and I’m really frustrated because my physical is in may and I get really nervous and embarrassed because I know I might be overweight.. I am not proud of that either, That’s why I’m doing this.. I want to have a flat stomach and I want to be fit like all the other girls. I’m going to my country in may and I want to look fit because people in my country are very fit. And at the same time I have my physical!! so much pressure D: Ive always deny that I have a little gut But when I look in the mirror I know I need a little improvement. I am going to try to weigh 110. Because I’m guessing that’s how I should weigh, But I’m not sure so please help me out. I need DETAILS.. On how much I should weigh for a 12 year old that’s height is 5 and 1/2. I will give something in return if your answer makes improvement. My mom she has diabetes and she made improvement she lost weight by dieting eating low fat and whole wheat. She even exercised but she has a kidney stone later on so she had to stop. She got surgery so maybe she can exercise now because she doesn’t have a kidney stone in her system. My dad he lost lots of weight to, he doesn’t eat a lot and he exercises and I saw improvement in him to! my sister used to be chubby when she was my age but she did something about it, she made her own exercise and schedule and didn’t eat a lot.. She weighs like 7 or 10 pounds less than me and she’s 15. I don’t like that at all. It makes me feel super huge. I have the following exercises : Pilotes, Kick Boxing, Yoga, Ballet, Boot Camp, (Some more but don’t remember) those take 10 minutes and the 30 minute walk which is like you basically doing a 2 mile walk right in your living room! that helped my sister lose weight as well and that’s what my mom and dad used when they were dieting. Please give me good ideas on how to lose weight. I promise you and guarantee you I will reward you. <333

Last August I had a kidney stone, and i was 16. I have always had to pee multiple times a day and throughout the night. The past week i have been having bad stomach pains and today i woke up and was vomiting and having diarrhea. Then i had to pee quite often and the past three times have been completely clear. No sign of any color at all. And i have not even drank a whole bottle of water today.

My signs say that it could be diabetes insipidus? Im only 18. Is that possible?
