I am in pain and my back and side are killing me. I have had gallbladder removed, appendix removed, hystorectomy….now what could this be? It has been suggested that I may have Kidney problems and have looked on Wbe M.D. somethings fit some don’t. Afraid to got to the Doctor because I do not want another surgury.

My fiancee had kidney stone removal surgery 3 days ago, and still is in severe pain. Is there a complication?
they placed a stent in, but they are leaving it in for a week because they said it was so tight when they went in. The pain is in the lower back and in the hip to groin area.
What causes blood and protein in urine?
My Dr. has already ruled out kidney stones from CT scan and any type of infection from a urine culture. Other symptoms include visibly seen blood after urinating, flank pain, pelvic pain (right side) and nausea. Also at the same time I was also diagnosed with Bronchitis. My dr. doesn’t feel that the bronchitis is realated to the urine issue. Are there any other tests I should ask for? What else could cause this?
Also, I’m a 25 yr old female, with no history of frequent UTI’s or stones. The only pre-exhisting condition I have endometriosis.
Why does my urine smell strongly? Recently changed my diet to healthier, never felt better. I drink a lot.?
I’m 26, I’m 6′1” and weigh 160lbs. I recently (last week) switched my diet to exclude the majority of pesticides, preservatives and processed foods, and I drink a lot of water now. I drink about 14-21 beers per week on average for about the last 5 years. I’ve never felt better since the diet switch, but I’ve noticed that my multivitamin doesn’t make my urine bright yellow like it used to, and everytime I urinate it smells strongly. It is clearer than it ever has been the majority of the time. What could cause this?
Cirrhosis is out, I have absolutely no other bad symptoms. I’ve gone through cold and flu season without having either.
Don’t have any other symtoms for kidney stones either.
I’m 18 and have just been told that i have gall stones, is it normal to be so young and have gallstones?
i just recently had a baby, and my husband left a week after i gave birth for the airforce. do you think that maybe stress caused the gallstones? i always thought that only old people got gallstones! but i guess i was wrong, and now im terrified that they are going to kill me!!!! so my first question would be, why do you think i have gall stones at such a young age. and my next question…what can i do to help the gallstones so it doesnt kill me.
Have you ever had kidney stones and they have never passed? And why?
I went to the ER with severe pain in my right kidney area. The pain was very intense and migrated to my groin area. After the ER Doc filled me with morphine and I woke from a quick nap I have had no pain since then. I am wondering if this was even kidney stones or something else.
How long do kidney stones take to pass?
I went to the hospital on sunday because i had sudden cramps in my stomach, side and groin. Although the doctor wasnt sure if it was because i may have had a kidney stone or if the problem lay with one of my ovarys, he gave me some pain relief and made me do a urine test which iam still waiting results for.
Anyways im still getting pain, especially in my back. Pain which is just as bad as the pain i initially had. I was just wondering if the stones should have passed already or if maybe i have a kidney infection?
thanks
What causes red blood vessels in the eyes, yellowing of the eyes, tremors that are throughout your body,?
and dull head pains that just hit you?
I am wondering whether or not this could be caused by anything other than liver related issues and if so will it go away on its own?
I have high blood pressure, kidney stone disease, have back problems from rupturing my disk in lower vertebra twice. I do not tolerate anesthesia well. I have depression also. I have been told I most likely have endometriosis, I did not go in for the procedure to get the definite answer on that one. In April I had been admitted to the hospital for shaking/tremor episodes. I left the hospital because I became frightened when told of some tests they planned to do. Last year when I was hospitalized to undergo a surgery, they did a mri on my brain and found a large lipoma deep in my brain, they said it was rare but should not cause problems. It was deep in the center. This is a s much as I can say. The shaking/tremors went away after about a month. I have had moments where i forget all of a sudden how to do something or become extremely frightened and confused, just for a few minutes or secs usually. My eyes are slightly yellowed and the vessels are red.
I Also have very strong heartbeats I am feeling and they are sometimes kind of irregular beats. I also get bruises on my legs that take a long time to go away about or around the same time I get horrible muscle cramps in my legs. It has been a long time but I also got these charlie like cramps in my stomach before where my stomach visibly twisted. Also, occasional spot of tingling on the toungue and nnausea and fatiqgue with the tremors? I am telling you all of this additional info in case it may be related somehow. Please help me if you know the answers. Thanks in advance.
I do not have the means to go to repeated doctor visits and testing
money for health is not an available option
12 days ago I went to the ER due to rt lower abdomen pain, it’s a kidney stone, I still haven’t passed it?
The doctor at the hospital said he didn’t know what was causing the pain as the CT scan was clear but I did have a small amount of blood in my urine and my liver enzymes were slightly elevated, he sent me home with Vicoden and to follow up with my primary doctor. I followed up 2 days later because I was still in a lot of pain and it had stated in my CT scan a 3mm kidney stone so my doctor gave me something stronger for pain and a referral to a urologist, that was 10 days ago. I finally have an appointment on Tuesday to see the urologist. Just wondering why I haven’t passed the stone yet, especially since it’s considered small. I have pain everyday.
I’ve been drinking lots of fluids and using the strainer since my ER visit. I never took the Vicoden as I do not do well on it. No fever, just the pain. I am also on Cipro. I actually feel much better today, the pain is minimal at this time, it seems to be worse when sitting up in a chair…especially at the office.
Could all these symptoms have one root cause?
Could these symptoms/diagnosis be all related?
40 year old female, smoker (shame)
Kidney stones 2 yrs ago
Pre-cancerous Breast Calcifications current and 1 year ago
Raynauds Syndrome diagnosed last month (had for years though)
Multiple Miscarriages
Tested for Lupus last year=negative
Sore bones, especially arms & legs.
Currently taking Norvasc for Raynauds & Celexa for anxiety/depression. (Past 30 days)
I will be back at the doctors in a week or so & will ask him, but I can’t help but wonder if all of these thing weren’t inter-related or if there wasn’t a common thread through all of them.
Any ideas or experiences?
My apologies, last year, as well as about 10 years ago and twenty years ago…I was tested for thyroid disease because of another strange symptom (breast sporadically secreting clear and/or white fluid)…each test has come back normal.
I’m trying to figure out some information about antibiotics that I don’t entirely understand. So, here’s the
Hypothetical situation: If someone has a urinary tract infection and is prescribed antibiotics for some other reason, will they kill the uti as well?
I’m not entirely sure if the information I got is accurate or not. =/
Lol it appears some people don’t know what "hypothetical" means…. Thanks for the information!
i have had a UTI (urinary tract infection) since the middle of October. I am now on my 4th antibiotic…the last one in line to work Levofloxacin. I have been on Cipro (twice), Nitro and Macrobid (but i think i was allergic to this one…). My doc keeps ordering tests, but all i ever get is an antibiotic as a ‘cure’. soon enough, i’m going to be immune to them (just like strep’s ab’s) or i’ll be in the hospital with kidney stones…
So, anyone have any advice as to when i should be referred? Should i have to ask to be referred? Wouldn’t my doctor give up on antibiotics and say, "you know what, i don’t know, go see this guy…"?
thanks. ![]()
What are the medications to take when passing Kidney Stone?
My Mom has a kidney stone(s) right now, and last night she was on the floor screaming in pain. We don’t exactly know how big it is, but, when she passes it, I heard that it hurt so much, like child birth! I need some suggestions for main meds when she is passing it. I am looking for a medication that is very trustworthy, and takes a lot of pain out of it. Also, if you can, would you please list some things I should expect when she passes it? Thank you so much. I am praying for her…
husband is having pain when he has to pee?
he would kill me if he knew i was asking this on here, but i’m worried, and he won’t go to see a doctor.. he says that when he has to pee it feels like he has something stuck/caught about half way down inside of his shaft and it hurts like hell.. i told him it sounded to me like he either has a bladder infection and the swelling is causing the pain, or he could even have a kidney stone that is lodged that is causing the pain. only thing is i have had kidney stones myself, and before it would make it’s way into my urinary tract i had pain in other areas of my abdomin and he hasn’t had any pain before today, and only in this area..i also told him that if it were me i would lay off of the coffee, soda, and dark beer for several days, and drink as much water as i could force myself to drink, because this will help to flush whatever it is out. but he won’t listen to me..now he says that it might help to push it out if he gets off.which again i think is a very bad idea… what does this sound like to you guys?
Has anyone ever had a shock wave treatment for kidney stones?
I have had a kidney stone for 3 weeks now that is too big to pass, the doctors put a j j stint in 2 weeks ago to see if that would help and it hasn’t,so Friday I will be having the j j stint removed and they are gonna do a shock wave treatment on the stone and I was just wondering what to expect with that, any info would be greatly appreciated.
I have 6mm kidney stone that they tried to get rid of with lithotripsy but couldn’t . The doctor says he wants to try again and if that is not successful, then surgery. What will happen if I don’t follow up? I heard you can live with stones.
Urologist says it’s not the kidney stone causing me pain, even though I do have a kidney stone.?
ER visit on 1/4 in lots of pain, doctor sends me home telling me nothing is wrong follow up with primary doctor, primary doctor reads CT scan and says I have a 3mm kidney stone, need to see urologist. Ovaries/appendix look fine. Went to urologist yesterday and he says I have a kidney stone but my pain is not the kidney stone, may need to see OB/GYN. I do not have a cervix or uterus but do have my ovaries. Had to go back to primary doctor today, she order ultrasound for Friday. I’m caught in a patient’s worse nightmare….I’ve seen 4 doctors in the last 16 days and still do not know what’s wrong with me. They will be checking for a ovarian cyst but now I’m wondering if it’s something to do with scar tissue, I’ve had two-sections, one in 1980 & 1991, hysterectomy in 2003. The pain is really bad at times.
My pain has mostly been in the lower right abdomen, sometimes it’s a very hard pressure pain right into my hip but today I had intense pain that radiated to my lower back and even up to my ribs. I almost went back to the ER today but decided to wait it out for the ultrasound tomorrow. This is some of the worst pain I have ever experienced.
urinary tract infection….symptoms??
I’ve had the urge to go to the bathroom a lot lately. My urine has been cloudy over the last few weeks with an odor, but seems to be clearing up now. I am able to go to the bathroom, but when I do, it’s not a lot and I feel like I have to go again almost instantly, and I usually do in 30 minutes or so. It feels like I’m not able to empty my bladder completely.
It does not burn or hurt…just an uncomfortable, bloated feeling. I felt some pain in my lower back a few weeks ago– I’ve had kidney stones before, which is why I’m concerned. I’m also due for my period in a few days…would this cause any of these symptoms at all?
Could this be a bladder infection of some sort?
Can you name some reasons to go vegetarian?
ONE HUNDRED & ONE REASONS
TO GO VEGETARIAN
People Land Air Water Efficiency Animals Health
PEOPLE
Every year in the UK we feed our livestock enough food to feed 250,000,000 people while in the world 30,000,000 people die of starvation
20 vegetarians can live off the land required by one meat eater
Every 3 seconds a child dies of starvation somewhere in the world
If Americans reduced their meat consumption by 10% it would free 12,000,000 tons of grain – enough to feed 60,000,000 people (the population of Great Britain)
If all Americans became vegetarian, it would free enough grain to feed 600,000,000 people (the population of India)
Intensification in animal farming has displaced 1,000,000’s of people from their traditional lands – eg. indigenous people in south & central america, native americans in north america & crofters in Great Britain – this is continuing today
People displaced from their lands into cities succumb to dietary deficiency, diseases, parasites & opportunistic diseases
In third world countries 1 in 10 babies die before their first birthday
The UK imports £46,000,000 worth of grain from third world countries to feed our livestock
Due to overgrazing 850,000,000 people live on land threatened by desertification & over 230,000,000 already live on land so severely desertified that they are unable to sustain their existence & face imminent starvation
1,000,000,000 people in the west gorging on meat & dairy leave 1,000,000,000 to waste away & 3,500,000,000 teeter on the brink
LAND
If they continue to clear American forests to raise cattle at the present rate, in 50 years there will be none left
1 acre yields 165 lbs of beef or 20,000 lbs of potatoes
8/10 of cultivated land in the UK is used to grow food for animals (14,732,000 hectares)
It takes 16lbs of high protein soya to produce 1 lb of beef
Since 1945 in the UK we have lost 95% of flower meadows, 50% of ancient woodlands, 40% of heathlands, 50% of wet lands & 224,000 km of hedgerows all due to animal farming
Pressure on land due to meat farming leads to soil erosion 6billion tons/year in the USA
If everyone went vegetarian upto 90% of land used for animal farming could be taken out of production & used to replant woodlands, leisure activities etc.
25% of Central america’s forests have been destroyed for cattle grazing since 1960
Between 1966-1983 38% of the Amazon rain forest was destroyed for cattle grazing
90% of cattle ranches established on cleared forest land go bankrupt in less than 8 years as the land becomes barren due to nutrient loss & overgrazing
Overgrazing by cattle is destroying the land & increasing desertification, nearly 430 million acres in the USA alone has suffered a 25-50% reduction in yield since first grazed
An inch of topsoil takes 200-1000 years to develop – yet in the USA they have lost around 1/3 of their prime topsoil in 200 years (around 7 inches) due to animal farming
Land will be lost due to rises in sea level due to global warming due to animal farming
AIR
The destruction of the rainforest by cattle farmers is destroying the lungs of the planet & reducing the worlds capacity to replenish our oxygen supply
The 1,300,000,000 cattle in the world emit 60,000,000 tons of methane per year (methane is a greenhouse gas & leads to global warming)
Burning of forests, grasslands & agricultural waste associated with animal farming releases 50-100,000,000 tons of methane per year
Combining these figures, 25% of methane emissions are due to animal farming (not including the billions of sheep, pigs & poultry so the real figure is much higher)
Fertilizer used to grow crops to feed to animals releases nitrous oxide – thought to account for 6% of the greenhouse effect
Fertilizer, weedkiller & pesticides sprayed on crops enter the atmosphere creating a noxious carcinogenic cocktail
CFCs are released into the air from refrigeration units used to store decomposing flesh (meat), milk & butter – CFCs are destroy the ozone layer
Ammonia from animal urine also pollutes the atmosphere
CO2 is released by burning oil & petrol in lorries, ships, abattoirs, dairies, factories etc. associated with meat & dairy production
Emissions from large chemical plants which produce fertilizer, weedkiller & other agricultural chemicals are also poisoning our air
WATER
25 gallons of water to produce 1lb of wheat & 2500 gallons to produce 1lb of meat
UK farm animals produce 200,000,000 tonnes of slurry (liquid excrement) every year, the majority of which ends up in our rivers
Bloody waste water from abattoirs ends up in our rivers
In the USA every second humans produce 12,000 lbs of effluent while farmed animals produce 250,000 lbs
Nitrates & pesticides used on crops grown to feed livestock end up in our rivers
Meat & dairy farming uses 70 litres of water per day per animal in the UK or 159,250,000,000 litres per year in total
The water used to produce 10 lbs of steak is equivalent to the average consumption of water for an entire household for an entire year
Depletion of groundwater reserves to grow crops for animals & to supply abattoirs will lead to greater water shortages
Aquafers (stores of underground water) in the San Joaquin valley in the USA are being drained at the rate of 500,000,000,000 gallons/year to produce meat
18% of all agricultural land in the world is irrigated & as global warming increases (partly due to animal farming) it will cost 0,000,000 to keep these systems going
The water used to produce a 1000 lb beef steer is enough to float a Destroyer battleship
The liquid waste from the various parts of the meat & dairy industry flow into the rivers & from there into the seas polluting them & encouraging huge algal blooms to grow
EFFICIENCY
To produce 1calorie of energy from meat takes 60 calories of petrol, whereas growing grains & legumes to directly feed people produces 20 calories for each calorie of fuel used ( thats 1200 times more efficient)
Meat & dairy farming uses billions of gallons of oil to run tractors, fuel ships & lorries (to move animal feed & animals), pump billions of gallons of water to irrigate fields & run slaughterhouses, power refrigeration units to prevent the corpses from decomposing & to power sewage plants to clean up some of the pollution produced
Cattle convert only 6% of their energy intake (mainly grains & soya) into flesh, the remaining 94% is wasted as heat, movement (which is why they keep many animals in very close confinement), hair, bones, faeces etc
1lb of beef takes 1 gallon of petrol to produce
A family of four eating beef for a year uses enough petrol to run a car for 6 months (obviously depending on how far you drive!)
If the full ecological cost of meat was passed onto the consumer – the price would be quadrupled (at least)
The EC spends œ100,000,000’s to subsidise animal production resulting in lakes of unwanted milk & mountains of unwanted meat & butter. This money could be better spent encouraging organic fruit, vegetable & grain production
In the USA in 1979 145,000,000 tons of crops were fed to cattle resulting in only 21million tons of animal bodies – the cost of the wasted crops was ,000,000,000
Between 1950 & 1985 grain production in Europe & the USA increased massively but 2/3 was fed to animals
70% of all grain is fed to animals
Eating vast quantities of animal flesh, eggs, milk & butter is a luxury that most of the planet can not afford
ANIMALS
Fishing with drift (and other modern) nets weakens & destroys ecosystems by indiscriminately killing billions of sea creatures & disrupting the sea bed
Fishermen’s nets kill 10 times as many other animals as the fish they are hoping to catch
Fish caught in nets die an agonising slow death of suffocation
Each year 15,000,000,000 land animals are slaughtered for food & an unknown but much larger number of sea creatures (including 1000’s of dolphins caught accidentally)
Chickens are crammed into battery cages with upto 3 other birds, they are unable to even spread their wings & many can not even stand up
Unwanted male chicks (because they can’t lay eggs) are gassed or pulped while their sisters go to the battery sheds
Chicks are debeaked without anaesthetic to prevent them injuring each other in the unnaturally confined conditions they are kept in – this is equivalent to having your fingernails pulled out without anaesthetic
Modern farming methods using growth hormones & artificial lighting mean that many chickens out grow their bones, resulting in fractured & broken legs
Sows are kept tethered in stalls 1.3 x 1 metre on concrete or slatted floors – they can not even turn around
Poultry raised for meat are kept in windowless broiler sheds, with around 20-30,000 in each shed, they live in an area of 10-20 cm square – fighting due to overcrowding is common & like battery hens they commonly suffer from supperating bed sores
Broilersheds are artificially lit 23 hours a day to produce rapid growth
Animals travel between farms & to slaughter in overcrowded transporters with no food or water – resulting in stress, injuries & deaths – legal requirements are widely ignored
95% of poultry suffer injuries before being killed & 30% suffer broken bones
Problems with stunning practices mean that many animals have their throats slit while still conscious (around 6% of cattle or 200,000 per year) & are then dipped in tanks of scalding water (to loosen feathers, bristles etc.) again while fully conscious
4000 animals die spurting their blood out every minute in a British slaughterhouse
Calf leather comes from animals killed at just 2 weeks old
Cows were fed on the ground up remains of other cows & sheep – the result is thought to be BSE (mad cow disease) in the USA cattle are fed partly on recycled plastic pellets
Cows only give milk for 10 months after they have a calf – so they are routinely artificially inseminated (ie. mechanically raped) to keep them pregnant & milking – their calves are taken away (usually at 12 hours old) for meat or export to veal crates
Cows would naturally live upto 20 years but are slaughtered after 5-7 years when their milk production begins to fall
In the UK animals are killed by first being stunned with electricity or a captive bolt gun (ie. a bolt is fired into their heads) before having their throats slit & being plunged into boiling water – all this happens on a production line with the animals being hung upside down from a moving conveyor belt – this is factory farming
"Animals are those unfortunate slaves & victims of the most brutal part of mankind" – John Stewart Mill (philosopher)
Veal calves are confined in stalls in the dark, unable to move & are fed on pigs blood , chocolate & dried milk (we are drinking the rich fresh milk of their mothers)
Cows naturally produce 5 litres of milk per day for their calves – under the intensified systems of modern farming they produce 25-40 litres per day – resulting in swollen & inflamed udders – at this rate they are soon worn out
Large areas of land are under monoculture to grow crops to feed to animals – these areas are wildlife deserts supporting fewer & fewer species.
HEALTH
Vegetarians have a 20% lower rate of mortality from all causes (ie. they live longer & don’t get sick as often)
Meat is full of traces of antibiotics, hormones, toxins produced by stress & pesticide residues that become concentrated from all the crops they have eaten
Fish contain heavy metals & other pollutants -many of which originated on farms
The world health organisation recommends a diet low in saturated fat, sugar, salt & with plenty of fibre – exactly what you get on a vegan/vegetarian diet
Farmed animals contain upto 50% saturated fat in their bodies
Vegetarians have 24% reduced risk of getting heart disease & Vegans a 57% reduction (heart disease is the biggest killer in the UK accounting for 50% of deaths)
Obesity is rare in vegetarians, obesity is related to many diseases
Vegans & vegetarians have lower blood pressure & cholesterol levels – high levels are associated with heart disease, strokes & kidney failure
Vegetarians have a 50% reduced risk of dying of diabetes
Vegetarians have a 40% reduced level of cancer than the general population thought to be because they have a higher intake of vitamins A,C & E
Vegetarians have a reduced risk of developing gall & kidney stones
80% of food poisoning is due to infected meat (faeces, bacteria etc.) after all meat is decomposing flesh – most of the rest is due to salmonella in eggs
Osteoporosis due to calcium loss from bones is mainly due to the sulphur content in meat & casein protein in milk that cause calcium to be lost in the urine – the countries with the highest meat & dairy consumption are those with the highest levels of brittle bones
50% of people do not have the enzyme to digest milk properly & milk allergy is related to asthma & eczema
Meat eaters have double the rate of Alzheimers disease as Vegans & Vegetarians – some people also think that Parkinsons disease is also linked to meat eating
Egg yolk is a dense concentration of saturated fat & the white is high in albumin protein associated with leaching calcium into your urine. Butter is 80% saturated fat, cream is 40% saturated fat & cheese is 25-40% saturated fat
Meat eaters are two and a half times more likely to get bowel cancer than Vegetarians
The cling film used to wrap meat in supermarkets & butchers contains chemicals linked to falling sperm counts in men
Chinese people (living mainly on a vegetarian diet) consume 20% more calories than Americans but Americans are 20% fatter
Of 2,100,000 deaths in the USA in 1987, 1,500,000 were related to diet (ie. meat & dairy)
AND I COULD GO ON !
If you’ve read this far, I hope that you are beginning to see that the Meat & Dairy industry is a major contributor to misery on this planet. It is destroying the health of people in rich countries, starving those in poor countries, it is torturing & killing billions of animals every year and in the meantime it is one of the major factors in the destruction of the environment – so what does the meat & dairy industry have to say in it’s defence?
Well their only real point is usually "Meat is tasty" – fair enough a lot of people enjoy the taste of meat – but there are plenty of delicious alternatives (just consider the huge range of vegetarian dishes in Indian cooking – one of the oldest & most sophisticated cuisines in the world) and if you really crave meat & dairy, nowadays there are plenty of healthy non animal alternatives – just look in the supermarket & health food shop. So I hope you will agree it’s pretty pathetic to consider all the evidence & then say "well I know you’re right about the environment & health & the animals – but I just love my meat"

My bladder is very sore. Could it be a sign of more kidney stones?
I had kidney stones and even had some stuck in my urthera. I had complications and treated a very severe infection. After a long and tiring ride on that train, I’ve been feeling normal for almost 2 weeks now. This evening I started noticing my back hurts as if I have more stones coming, but this time my bladder itself is in so much pain, as if someone is sitting on my bladder. It almost feels like a cramp. Does this sound like more complications due to the stones? The back pain is becoming unmanagable now that it’s accompanied by severe bladder pain. Does this sound like a complication of kidney stones?
Back Pain question?????????????????
Please don’t suggest I change DR’s. I can’t. I simply can’t. It has to do with my insurance plan (it’s crap) and I can not change Dr’s at this time. So please don’t suggest I get a new primary care dr unless your going to fork over the money for me to go see a new primary care dr on my own.
I wake up each morning with horrible upper back pain. So bad I want to cry (and I have a very high pain tolerance!) and it goes away in about 45 minutes. I can’t move during that time, it hurts, and I can barely walk. Xrays have found nothing wrong, I’m in good health and am 5 foot 3 inches and weigh 125 pounds. So weight is not an issue. I thought it may be my mattress, so a week or so ago I bought a brand new box spring and mattress. For the first time in months, I woke up not in pain. But my relief was short lived. 2 days later my back pain started up again, with a vengeance.
I have not hurt my back from heavy lifting, I work out all the time but have never injured my back. Now my back pain is worse than ever.
I’ve been tested for gallstones, kidney stones, kidney infection. all came up clear. I want an MRI done, but my DR doesn’t think I have bad enough back pain to justify an MRI, even though I do.
This has been going on now for over 4 years.
Please don’t suggest I change DR’s. I can’t. I simply can’t. It has to do with my insurance plan (it’s crap) and I can not change Dr’s at this time. So please do not suggest I get a new primary care Dr unless you are going to going to fork over the money for me to go see a new primary care doc on my own.

Is it possible for a kidney stone to cause microscopic bleeding, but no pain?
Is it possible to have kidney stones that would cause microscopic bleeding, but no pain?
I have a hx of endometriosis. Back in June I started to have severe right sided flank pain. Thought….kidney stone. Had surgery…no stone!!?? Anyway long story short……I continue to have this severe pain but now its bi-lateral. I work in an ER and have asked one of the doc’s there and he said he thought it may be my endo. (also having other symptoms of endo) To me, it just seems kind of far up in the abdomial cavity for edno to spread too. But I have begun to track the pain level over the past few months and have found that the pain is always worse about 1-2 wks before my cycle. Could it really be that it has spread that far?? I have an appt w/ my gyno……but am anxious to find out an answer………any help or opinions would be appreciated!!!
Thanks for all the quick responses!!!! I have had 2 laps done in the past, the last being in 98. I just have never EVER had such severe pain w/ it. I guess I’m just in denial that I have let it get this bad. I had my tubes tied back in 2003 and am finished having children… but the thought of a possible hysterectomy scares me. I’ll keep y’all updated on what I find out.!!
