If the Catholic church really accepts this as true, why isn’t anyone ticked off at these saints for not curing everyone. ‘Obviously,’ they have the power. And yet people die every day … even ones that pray to Mother Teresa.

But, the kidney stone dude is much better now … that was a close one. He almost had to pass it naturally.

This question is very random but this guy I know in my philosophy classes has been gone the past like 3 lectures. And texts me today asking when our tests are, and then I ask him where he’s been. He got kidney stones…

I heard it was one of the worst pains imaginable. How would one reduce the chances of getting kidney stones? What causes them?

I started feeling the sharp pain every two to three minutes… sometimes its more constant. The pain is like a shock but its not severe. Last night I was feeling it by my pelvic bone in the front. Its on the right side of my body only… I’ve research and it seems to be Kidney Stones or a Kidney infection of some sort. I have to wait until Monday to go to the doctor so do you guys have any remedies for me to lessen the symptoms? What can I do for now until I can go to the Dr. ? I’m afraid the pain will increase and I don’t want to go to urgent care. Should I avoid certain food? What should I do? I’m scared… I heard Kidney Stones are REALLY PAINFUL. Ouch!

I am 18 years old and I have a 7mm kidney stone, I am not sure where it is right now but I want to know if I will feel it when it actually comes out? I’m pretty sure I will but I stopped taking the pain medications because they were making me sick and I’m not sure if it came out or not because I am not having anymore symptoms like I was befor???

Can anyone tell me how its going to feel when it comes out, will I feel it? I have already been to the er and they said it has already passed my kidney…?

I’m at a college away from my parents. I don’t really want to tell them that I think I have a urinary tract infection. What kind of doctor should I set up an appointment with to get this checked? Does anyone know if tricare military health insurance covers this or will I have to pay something?

First, please know that this is NOT our intention. I am only asking this question to find out what would happen {worst-case-scenario} if we did alternative treatment and it didn’t work. I want to know what the RISKS of NOT immediately going into surgery are. Could the gall bladder rupture? Can the blood become septic?

I had a D&C 6 days ago. To remove a miscarriage. I had no cramping very little bleeding. Mostly just liquidy discharge that was redish. But today I had the worst cramps I have ever had I thought it was a kidney stone. That is the only pain I could compare it to. Now I am having a very heavy flow like my period normally was before I was pregnant. I was wondering if this is normal… Is this my period already?? I am normally very fertile… I got pregnant on the pill..

I have no more stones just pain in my lower left flank, just above the waist. Have been to 3 Dr.s and no one knows why. Has anyone else had this?
I did have surgery 2 weeks after the lithotripsy and they irragated the area to rid any small particles, also none showed up X-rays or CT scans

Hello,

I have been detected with two stones in the kidney 0.38 and 0.57 cm by ultrasound KUB. The stones aren’t seen on x-ray so they are suspected to be of uric acid.

So the stones themselves doesn’t bother me that much, they are small and probably can be dissolved using medicines or they will pass spontaniously.

What bothers me is how I can make the antibiotic to penetrate or what kind of antibiotic can penetrate renal stones? Because I have persistant urethral inflammation due to E. Coli. The bacteria seems to be hidden in the renal stones to where no antibiotic could penetrate.
I have seen reports on analyzed uric stones to contain culturable E. Coli bacteria inside.

About the bacteria being hidden inside and thus being not able to infect – it’s speculation, just pure logic which probably not true in this case since uric stone is not that solid formation.

my husband has had kidney stones in the past year he went to the hospital and they gave him morphine. now he has the same symptoms again. what can he do to try to pass them tonight or something to help with pain.the nearest hospital is over an hour away.

i went to vet and he gave some anti biotics to help with kidney stones. i dont think they wil help. and surgery is 00

she had surgery for the same condition last year. her total treatment ran me about 00.00.
Is there any home remedy so the stones break down and pass through her urine. She is on special perscription food by hills. The C/D one.

I am sorry if I have offended any one, As I was explained the procedure to, by my vet last time , it didn’t sound like this surgery does take any special tools or time than spaying a cat. The cat can’t sue them. And I am affraid that people will dump their sick cats in the streets due to high medical cost. Many people I know like to have cute cats or dogs only to get attention from others . We humans should stop buying from pet stores and breeders when there is so many homeless animals. fix your cats and dogs please. Thanks.

Ok, so since I am planning on going to school to become an ND, my friend often asks me different health related questions. Well, very recently, she came to me with certain symptoms asking what could be wrong with her:

I’m currently taking Depakote ER for migraine prevention but it is causing my hair to fall out (not clumps causing bald spots, but a lot more is coming out per day then used to). Getting off of the medicine is not an option as the migraines are severe and frequent and other medicinal options have caused worse symptoms (try multiple kidney stones). The only thing I have tried for the hair loss is to replace my daily multi-vitamin with Centrum Silver (it is for people 50+ and is supposed to have something to help with hair loss). Any vitamins ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated!
