For the past month and a half, maybe even longer, I’ve been straining when going to the bathroom. It’s now getting uncomfortable and I’m not sure what’s causing it. I did have a surgical abortion in Feb’ 09 and was told this could cause damage to my urethra and other parts, obviously. (please no hate comments). Theres no burning or pain when I go to the bathroom, I just have to push and force myself to go. I’ll feel the urge to urinate but only a little comes out. I’ve been drinking lots of water hoping to flush whatever out.

Is this possible kidney stones/failure? I do have a sore lower back and cramps in my abdomen, but nothing where I can’t walk or move around. I have been getting some headaches more often then normal, I usually don’t get headaches.
I have a third appointment with my gyno on Monday morning, but Im not sure if it’s okay to wait till then. I first went there for this on 4/27/2009, was told I had a UTI, was give Cipro for three days. This seemed to help A LOT. I noticed during those days there was no straining, and I could feel the urge to urinate more. Its kind of a dull weak feeling now. I mentioned to my doctor the last time I had a UTI and was only given a 3day Cipro pack that it came back worse. So after I finished the medication and was still having symptoms that kept getting worse (only very little comes out now) I was told I need to wait for the medicine to take effect. Then after finally having a physical exam, I was told I didn’t have a UTI that I have a vaginal and a yeast infection. I completed both medications for those infections and feel worse off then before!!
My doctor just called and said they need to retake some tests and to come in on Monday. I informed her that Im having more trouble then before and lots of straining. She says, again, that theres nothing she can do until 7days after I took the medicine, as thats how long it takes to work.

Can someone please tell me if I should wait the weekend, go to the ER, slap my doctor in the face, anything?? I plan on changing doctors as they keep giving me the run around. Has this happened to any one before?

Sorry about the rant. Thank you in advanced!

Okay I am 16, and i am really worried about myself right now. During the summer i started worrying about things and i went into some phase were i only drank soda and didn’t really eat much of anything and pretty much no protein and i started drinking energy drinks and coffee as well, all these things have been in my diet just more of an excess amount. So this has gone on till a little bit into school and now i am starting eating again and not drinking quite as much soda, no energy drinks, but still having coffee. So recently i have been having a little bit of pain in my abdomen. A couple of not so harsh pains but anything is worrying me and increasing my fear towards kidney pain, i told my dad of this and ask for a doctors appointment. My idea is that how i havent had enough protein during these times, and then school starts and i have to funtion like this, with my body being weak, something in my kidneys get lose, resulting on my passing a kidney stone. Thats sort of my idea right now that i scaring me.

I recently had protected sex, but the condom slipped off in the middle of sex. We didn’t find out until afterwards and he had to pull it out of me…it was in me for about 10 minutes. We bought Plan B the next morning and I took both of those pills. The next day, I got a urinary tract infection. Could either one of these things (plan b/lost condom) be a factor of this infection?

The pain is getting more intense. It is on my lower right side and through my pelvic area. It is also getting harder to urinate. Does this mean the stone is getting ready to pass?
I am a female. I just want to make sure this is normal and if this pain means it is going to pass soon

A few days ago I went to the ER with abdominal cramps on the right side, fearing it may be my appendix for another kidney stone. However, all tests ame back negative, and I could not be diagnosed with anything. Its a few days later and im still having these cramps. They are also accompanied by bloating and back pain. Also, my bowel movements have been very irregular. Im 21, any idea what could be causing all of this????
I did find it interesting that this started after eating a bunch of sushi at a japanese restaraunt. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Does anybody know of a natural way to remove stones from the common bile duct that does not involve any type of medical procedure? I had my gall bladder removed about 3-4 years ago and am still having severe episodes and pain from CBDS common bile duct stones. I do not want anymore surgery (I’ve already had 2 this year) and want to remove them naturally if possible. Let me know if you know of a way to to this other than gall bladder cleanses.
FYI–I have already done general internet searches and am not interested in doing an olive oil and lemon juice/grapefruit juice cleanse…these have not been proven to actually work…I don’t think I could get down a pint of oil anyway.

I have had a kidney stone before on the left side. Today my right side hurts and the pain is familiar, yet not as intense. Could it be a kidney infection? Have you had a kidney infection? Did the pain start out small and gradually get worse or was it more comparable to kidney stone pain?

I woke up Tues morning thinking I might have slept in a weird position. But I am still hurting today. Its my left side back between ribs and hip. It is tender to the touch and hurts when i breathe deep. Its also uncomfortable to sit and to lay on that side. I do have issues with my low back but this is higher up that my usual back issues. Almost kidney area maybe. I dont have kidney stone symptoms. Any medical personnel or persons that might have had this? Any thoughts appreciated. I am not sure if I should go to the dr.
I havent bumped into anything or done anything i can think of that would have bruised it or hurt any muscles.
Im also not for sure that it is my kidneys either.. But thats the only thing in that area ..
Nothing unusual about my urination. Im drinking alot of water as well. That is the area "flank"area of my back.

Have been in excruciating pain since last week. Currently taking darvacept for the pain. I’m missing work, since the pain medication puts me to sleep. Can’t take anything mild, otherwise I’m screaming from the pain. I need to pass these stones ASAP. Any home remedy secrets will be greatly appreciated.

I’m trying to reverse the effects of blood thinners just long enough to heal up from kidney stone removal surgery. They had to go in and remove them manually, the shock-wave treatment was unsuccessful. As I indicated, the bleeding is internal so there’s no way to put something on it.

In the past, I have passed a total of 3 kidney stones. For the past week, I have had intense kidney pain, however it is not the same pain that I experienced when I passed the stones. I have no other symptoms, and I only have the pain in my right kidney.

I dont take pain meds for it because it doesnt help the only thing that ever did was (SOMA) a muscle relaxer!
Well heres what I need to know,

Could KIDNEY STONES pain come and go every fiew months?
Could my drinking trigger the stones to give me pain again?
