I am 23, have 2 children. Don’t know if that makes a difference. But anyhow, since October of 2008, I have had 11 kidney infections and kidney stones once. How many kidney infections can it take for kidney failure, kidney damage…does this necessarily mean I have kidney disease? I am either at the ER or at my doctors office every month. I have taken Bactrim, Levaquin, Amoxicilin, Ciprofloxin…which none have worked. I went last week for my 3rd CT Scan…still waiting on the results. Does anyone have any experience with this? My husband thought he had a kidney stone with the typical symptoms of back pain, flank pain and pain extending to his groin. Went to the Dr. Xray revealed a 16mmx8mm area right kidney, he was then sent for a CT of the pelvis and abdomen that showed this was not a kidney stone rather it was a mass on the right adrenal gland measureing 3.6cm. He was then sent for a MRI that showed a 4 cm mass and mention not being able to rule out hyperfunctioning adenoma or Pheochromacytoma. Any advice.

OK I have been told I need to have my gall bladder removed. The Dr told me it is inflamed and rittled with gall stones. Is there any OTHER way to rid your gall bladder of gall stones or is the only option removing it?

9 days later my lower stomach hurt so bad i went to the hospital. They said my appendix was inflamed and i had to get it removed it just seems weird to me that all of a sudden this happened after my eswl could the eswl have caused this? when i was getting on the eswl table they accidentally turned the machine on when they weren’t supposed to now i don’t have an appendix could this be a medical malpractice?

My son (12 years old) is on his 3rd kidney stone. He has meds that are support to work but the doctors dont know why he is getting those. I was just wondering if anyone knew or wanted to guess. He is one a special diet and he drinks a lot of water. But sometimes he has pain any way. We usually give him meds and a hot pad on his back and he chugs a lot of water, and that usually works but sometimes not. He also has a lot of gas to burping and farting a lot and when he gets home from school he is so so tierd. Maybe it is the tests there doing and the stress. why is this? PLEASE! this is important

This is what I’m thinking: I know you can run vinegar through the coffee maker and it will break up all the junk. Someone told me kidney stones are just calcium build-ups. If this is true, do you think the vinegar in pickle juice will have the same effect on my guts?

The person doesn’t have ringworm or other skin condition. Also, it is not male pattern balding.

The person works in a factory cutting steel on a wet saw. He must pour a green liquid in the saw to keep it from overheating. He is 29. He has no history of balding or kidney pain. This has just started during the last few months.

What could this be?

I know that hair falling out in patches can be symptom of many illnesses, but surely the kidney problem with it helps to narrow it down a bit?

The two conditions may coincide without relation to one another, but that seems unlikely.

By the way, he has gone to the doctor. He will be going back to the doctor soon. He is NOT looking to self diagnose and self treat, he is simply curious.

I was in the hospital a couple weeks ago urinating blood and they told me it was a urinary tract infection and a kidney stone. i had no other symptoms except urinating blood. they released me and put me on macrobid for 10 days. i went to my ob and gave her a clean catch urine on 11/11 and they called me yesterday and told me that i have a urinary tract infection BUT i had already completed the antibiotics to get rid of it and i have no symptoms at all. they told me the bacteria in the urine was able to be killed by the macrobid so they don’t know what’s going on. they are making me go to the hospital today to get straight cathed to get a "pure" sample and im REALLY scared cause i know it hurts. has this happened to anyone else?

I have a 6 yr old shih tzu that was operated on less than a yr ago for kidney stones. She once again is showing signs on them returning. I have her on a vet suggested diet but regardless of following all advice I am afraid they might have returned.

I had a ct scan to confirm the stone. Urine output was never compromised but after 5 days of pain, it went away and I never did find a stone. Am I just waiting for another attack in the near future?
