I was just told I have large gallstones. I have had these symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome for the past 9 months, and I just wonder if the gall stones are really what was causing my problems. I would eat and then suddenly food was too rich and I’d get crampy and then have an urgent bowel movement- usually diarrhea. I would also get shaky, like tremors, and sometimes chills and nausea.
Have any of you had those sort of symptoms with gall bladder issues? Did it resolve after having it out?
Recently I’ve had a kidney stone and it was the worst pain I’ve ever felt. I think I got it from some medicine that I took for an ear infection and I don’t know if I’ll develop more. I just want to know some ways to deal with the pain or ways to help prevent or dissolve them.
My son is on his 3rd kidney stone. He has meds that are support to work but the doctors dont know why he is getting those. I was just wondering if anyone knew or wanted to guess. He is one a special diet and he drinks a lot of water. But sometimes he has pain any way. We usually give him meds and a hot pad on his back and he chugs a lot of water, and that usually works but sometimes not. He also has a lot of gas to burping and farting a lot. why is this? PLEASE! this is important.

Does anyone know how to remove a stent placed for removal of kidney stones?
The doctor told us to remove the stent ourselves so that we did not have to return to the doctor, she did not however elaborate on the exact way to do it. I want to know if anyone else has done it?

How can I pass a kidney stone the quickest?
I went to the ER today and had a cat scan. The doctor told me I had a kidney stone and sent me home with some pain meds. However, the pain is still there and I want to see if there is anything that can speed up the process of passing this. Does anyone have any "remedies"?
Did I pass a kidney stone?
I was having all the symptoms of what I thought was a UTI for a few days. Then last night, I started passing a good amount of blood after I urinated (I had to strain to get it out). Then early this morning, again after urinating, I was straining to get the blood out and I passed a larger blood clot with a small white pebble looking thing in it. After this all of my symptoms went away almost immediately. Did I pass a kidney stone?
i passed my stone on christmas morning! and now i have pain in my back, feels kind of like my kidney, could it still be sore? this is my first day back at work, and im just sitting all day. also, does anyone know how to prevent them in the future? i do not ever want anther one!
My sides hurt on both sides every morning when I have to pee?
Every morning I pee since I was a kid, but now that im 18 — my sides hurt badly in the morning and dont stop to hurt until I pee. After that, my sides are throbbing in relief, like I feel my sides throbbing after perhaps hours of pain because I didnt pee? My mom has had kidney stones… anyone know what this could pee?
how do you cope with the pain of constant kidney stones?
I have more than 20 kidney stones over the last 3 years. All Dr’s say is "drink water" the only pain control seems to be morphine and percoset, which leaves you feeling tired, groggy and sick. I would love a way to help the pain without the use of a narcotic and way to prevent stones from forming.
The stones typically pass and i’ve only had to have one removed. Most are too small to have blasted or removed by basket but are still incredibly painful.
I passed a kidney stone today. I had all the classic symptoms with it, but my question is….Did any of you still have kidney pain after the fact…..after you passed your stone? How long does this last? Could I have more stones in my kidney and they just have not dropped yet?
Thank you for all your repsonses. It’s nice to hear what others have experienced this painful attack.
I will make a Dr. Appt. tomorrow but would still like to hear your answers.
Body continues to produce kidney stones?
I have had two surgeries to address kidney stones. I found out that I have yet another kidney stone which needs to be removed. I have made all the necessary diet changes and am still having these issues. Any ideas as to why my body is continually producing kidney stones?
kidney stone dissolver?
Has anyone tried any of the products on the net to dissolve kidney stones, and do they work?
Pain from Kidney Stone…?
After 2 days of extreme suffering from my lower back with symptoms such as vomitting and stomach ache and stuff, I done an ultra sound and discovered that i have kidney stones. While 3 to 4 of them are silent stones that are just sitting in my kidney, one of it somehow got stuck on the ureter –> which causes my extreme pain. It is the worse pain I have ever endure.
Everso I wonder, what would this happen to me. I am female, 18 years of age, which means the chance of me getting kidney stones is like a lot less than 1%.
Anyway, the doctors recommended that I take tons of fluids (2-3 quarts or 4 – 20 oz bottles) a day. I have been doing that for couple days now.
I am not sure whether I passed the stone or not, but the pain is not bad today. The only thing I feel is sortness from my back and lack of appetite. Hopefully the stone has been flushed, but I doubt!
I would like to know if there’s any thing I could do when the pain comes back again – something beside medication. T
can a kidney stone on your right kidney cause pain on your left side?
my right side was hurting and now my left is hurting. is that from the stone passing from one side to the other?
thanks
Constant Leg Pain….Any Ideas?
I HAVE been to the doctor twice about it. Says there is nothing wrong. The last week or so it’s gotten worse where today I’m barely able to walk because of the pain. Sitting hurts, standing hurts, laying hurts….I can get no relief. Last night I took advil and put some BenGay type cream all over my legs and it didn’t ease it at all. Sitting on the bed with laptop right now and feet are tingling (like they are trying to go to sleep).
I need some serious ideas please. I’ve done everything on my end. Went to the doctor TWICE and have tried self diagnosis. Mentioned it to the neurologist when I was sent there last year because of migraines. Spoke with my sister who is a N.P.
Medical conditions:
Mitral Valve Prolapse with mild to moderate regurgitation
Chronic Kidney stones
Thank you in advance for ANY assistance
Does anyone know the difference between cystitus and urinary tract infection?
Not looking for diagnosis, rang the doctors surgery for a prescription for cystitus, having had it before, I know the symptons, picked up prescription but also given a form for test for urinary tract infection – is it not one and the same?
My sister has several large kidney stones that are going to have to be treated w/ lithotrisy, she is overweight and I had heard that this may effect the results. Also what can she expect…is it painfull during or after?
